    Superb

Our stay at Aluna was absolutely lovely. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful as well as understanding our somewhat broken Spanish at times with grace and shared laughter. The space is beautiful and really well taken care of. What a great thing it is to wake up and get to have fresh juice in the morning if you choose as well! The cafe was delicious and a great bonus. The mission and vision for Aluna as well as the owners are wonderful and in alignment with taking good care of the earth.Go!

    Fabulous

Staff were great - really helpful and always with a smile which goes along way. Only cons were WiFi didn't work too well in the dorms and there was a lack of plugs for charging. Small beans really! Other then that the room was great - 3 fans in the 4 bed dorm. Easy to find but set a little far back in town. Security there was top notch! Not a party hostel but great option if you want a good nights rest! So good I went back after a night in Tyrona (and would stay again)!

    Fabulous

Aluna is in a great central location with a security door that's locked and monitored closely from the front desk. It's also very clean. However, it lacked facilities I've liked in other hostels so far, like a roof top pool, bar and restaurant, which add to the atmosphere. Breakfast isn't included but can be bought at the Aluna cafe downstairs. There's a shared kitchen on the 3rd floor. It would have helped to have someone on reception who spoke English when I arrived as my Spanish isn't good.

    Very Good

I stayed in a dorm for 6. We were 3 who never really crossed paths so it was kinda quiet. I can imagine when busy the upstairs terrasse would have a great atmosphere. The place is a 5 min walk to the centre (tiny - nothing is far). Free coffee in the morn and breakfasts are good but not included. I slept well before the lost city hike.

    Good

Location in a very empty street but close to main street and area with restaurants. Unfriendly staff who really didn't seem to care a lot. Breakfast was average. No atmosphere. And we were charged an additional 6% (!!!) for using our credit card to pay , a rip-off !

Wouldn’t come back! We booked a private room and chose this hostel especially because they claimed to have AC which is essential in Santa Martas oppressive heat - But they haven’t! There was only a ceiling fan, so we could barely sleep at night. Further the room and the kitchen weren’t really clean, the staff was rather unwelcoming, no one their spoke english and they couldn’t really help us with organizing tours. At least their Café offered a tasty breakfast and the lady there was nice.

Over priced, filthy kitchen facilities for cooking for oneself. Rooms were fine but installation and removal of steel gates at the patio level at night and morning was LOUD.

By far the least welcoming accommodation I have used, since coming to Colombia. Room was boiling hot, and smelled awful.
