Friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating staff. Excellent air con in our dorm. Centrally located and within walking distance to all main attractions. Really good value for money.

Amazing Hostel, very lovley. The rooms are big, shower cleen. In the lobby and on the roof is plenty of space to meet people. I loved the breakfast, the stuff brings you scrambled eggs, with delicious toast and jam to the table. The kitchen is nice, has all the basics.

Great stay! Beautiful high ceilings and a lovely patio. Our dorm room had its own bathroom, which was a nice surprise.

Location, location, location! Everything was within walking distance. Great tourist info from manager— where to catch local buses to outside the city, local free walking tours, and getting back to airport. Scrambled eggs for breakfast.

I couldn't have asked for more Good central location, super friendly staff, very laid-back and chilled, ample opportunity to meet fellow travellers. Breakfast and wifi are good. 10% charge on cards, but it s still excellent value. Scrambled eggs are nice, but repetitive.

    Fabulous

My husband and I had a comfortable stay in a private room at Alvear Hostel. It's about a 15 min walk or quick taxi ride from the bus terminal, but a little further of a walk (25mins) to the hip Güemes neighborhood that we kept finding ourselves going back to. Our only complaint is that the wifi in our private room was not reliable, but was better in the common areas.

Great niche hostel. Nice beds, bathroom is good except for the lack of ventilation. Guests were hit and miss for being social. They recently opened up a roof top bar which is great to hang out at and have a bbq. Shout out to the owner who's a vegetarian but cooked meat on the grill for us!

Showers were cold, bunk beds tiny but comfortable, free breakfast good (eggs, toast, jam, tea coffee). Staff were friendly. Centrally located near the main plaza (San Martin). Roof terrace was a nice touch and use of kitchen to prepare meals (but old equipment)

    Very Good

Overall the hostel served the purpose for one night. I wouldn’t want to spend much longer here as it was rather unclean and the room had no windows. There wasn’t much of an atmosphere neither good or bad but the staff were friendly.

The hostel was dead when we were there, except for the 8 or so people who worked there. The welcome wasn't particularly friendly when we arrived and they just said we should wait on the sofas until check-in. The roof terrace could be nice if there were some people around, but it wasn't used at all when we were there. The private bedroom was average, but the cold tap didn't work in our sink when we were there. One of the poorer hostels we've stayed in in South America.
