This is a great hostel. There is a kettle to make your own hot beverages in reception. The staff are nice and friendly and speak English very well. You do have to pay for bedding, which is annoying. You don't have to pay to store your luggage which is a plus. It is quite a walk from the city centre, but the rooms are very big, warm and the beds are comfortable.

Good common area with ample tables. Good staffs, There is a convenient store beside it for food and everything. The room toilet are clean. The downside is it is a 30 minutes walk from the central train station. I walked anyway, some people may find this tiring. I slept in a 8bed room, and there is not enough power sockets for everyone. I charged it at the common area before I go back to the room. This is abit of a hassle.

Hostel was a 30 min walk from the centre, €20 a night for a room with 20 beds and wanted to charge an extra €5 for linen and a pillow, no lockers in the rooms and not many power points, none for the top bunks, staff were nice, massive kitchen, lots of showers and toilets, very good security, massive rooms

    Very Good

This hostel is very ok. It's a bit far from the center of Oslo (there is a bus you can get) but is in a nice area. The staff were helpful and everything was clean. It was quiet, but the atmosphere a bit sterile. However, it's inconvenient that the lockers are in the lobby and beds in the dorms do not have individual lights or plugs. Overall I thought it was a bit pricy for what it is, but I would stay there again if I just needed a place to rest my head.

You have to pay for linen! They ask you a rhetorical question about it when you arrive, you dont have a choice. I was booked into a 8 bed mixed dorm, couldn't believe my luck when I was the only one in it, then luck changed, they booked a group of inconsiderate assholes in at 12:15am who decided to talk, shower and have a cook up until 2:45am, while they're not responsible for other guests behaviour, they did check them in knowing I was in the dorm. Place was sterile and lacked any vibe 😠

Anker Apartments is a relatively long walk away from downtown Oslo, has no in-room lockers, and you have to bring your own bed sheets or rent them for an extra cost. The rooms are barebones and lack modern amenities like outlets or lights next to each bunk. The lobby is spacious with lots of seating.

The atmosphere was awful. It was a shared room with 30 people and people got really angry and mad at other people because of snoring, alarms, etc.
