Islam and his family are just the loveliest, friendliest people. We sat and chatted about politics and philosophy and he restored my faith in humanity! The hostel's in the middle of a tiny village which was a brilliant break from the traffic and pollution of the big cities! I only stayed one night and if I didn't have a flight booked I would have extended it to a week. The best place I've been to after two months in India!

Ansari House is a wonderful place to stay! Islam and his big family are incredibly generous and hardworking. They are very helpful and make you feel like you are part of the family. They all go out of their way to make you feel at home and help you with whatever you may need. The building is located outside of the town of Bodh Gaya, so it is quiet and peaceful, but it is still only a 15 minute walk from the main temple. The food is organic and delicious. A truly great and affordable experience!

A lovely location, away from the chaos in a peaceful village very close to all the action. I planned to stay here for 2 nights and ended up staying a week. The family that run the place are lovely, helpful and oh so kind. It has been an absolute pleasure to have been able to stay here and is an experience I will not forget. Thank you

The owner is very kind and helpful and has adopted many children who live in the house which is a sort of orphanage. However, the location is far from the town. As a solo female traveller I did not feel safe to go to the town and come back. It's better to rent a place in the town near to the temple. Also unfortunately I got food poisoning from either eating or drinking tea there (l am sure as I did not have any other food or drink anywhere else that day).
