Arcadia hostel is located in Poblado, the best and safest barrio in Medellin. The staff was very helpful in explaining to me all the tourist options that Medellin offers. The beds were long and wide which helps because I am 1.92m tall! The owner hosts a great Greek Asado (try the Tzatziki sauce!) on Sunday nights, and the hostel organizes other events during the week. The vibe is chill as the 'Party Zone' is minutes away, but the noise doesn't reach the hostel. I will be back!

I stayed at the Arcadia Hostel and really enjoyed my time there. The hostel is very close to the center of restaurant and clubs. I liked a lot the BBQ event when i met there a lot of nice people all over the world. I felt that here it was central to create a nice community/group in the hostel, one evening enjoed a nice event by the staff and owner, after we went out for clubbing. The hostel was very clean, the food (breakfast) was fantastic. Would always go back there and therefore recommend it!

This is more of a party than chill hostel. Music was on until 11pm per night and quiet hours were not really enforced. The beds were very uncomfortable. We stayed in the Trojan Horse dorm which was right off of the public patio. This made our room extra noisy and had people coming and going from outside constantly. My favorite thing about this hostel was the showers. They were hot and had great pressure. Overall okay stay, just not my kind of hostel.

It wasnt bad, but compared to others, not sure why it was rated so high. There was probably a time when it was great, but half the time I couldnt get a hold of a staff. Then when I found them, he was out flirting with the cleaning lady. And then she gave me this face of being annoyed for asking her for a towel. Like sorry. Trashcans were cleaned once and laundry was way more expensive than other places. Besides that it was cool.

    Very Good

Overall the place is nice, great terrace and salsa classes. But there were a few points that we weren't that happy with. First the room we were in was 9 beds in less than 10m² and there wasn't a window. For the bathrooms you had to go 2 stories up and 2 toilets for the whole hostel are def not enough. The staff was also a bit unsupportive as my friend was feeling really sick and dizzy and wanted to move to a lower bed.

Our room was right next to the kitchen behind the reception so it was super loud at night and really loud in the morning, also so stuffy there is no fresh air so we did not sleep well each night. Location is ok for the food but a little far from the metro. The atmosphere was weird and clicky but one volunteer was really nice and friendly to us. The kitchen is super dirty and people don’t wash up well. Breakfast is fairly good tho just be careful what you use to eat it. Wouldn’t stay again.

I spent 2 days, was nice in general, good atmosphere...but really terrible cleaning, the kitchen was dirty with some scrubs, also the bathroom wasn't so good for the clean... But for the rest it was good stay.

A few things. The light in the hall bathroom didn’t work and nobody seemed to care. It took about 30 minutes to get a drink at the “bar” (read: front desk). When I arrived there was a spot of blood on my sheets and I asked for them to be changed; they were not and I had to sleep on top of my sheet I brought. Also, the lock on my locker was jimmied and my laptop stolen. The staff didn’t seem to care and when I asked for help contact the police they were blasé.

So much theft going on while we were there...people had money stolen, chargers and even food. Really affected the vibe and atmosphere of the hostel. Staff and pancake were nice, but all the theft of things really left a bad vibe of the hostel..wifi didn’t work for the first 24 hours.
