You can stay here and go to Black Sheep next door to hang out. It's generally cheaper. It does the job, but there's nothing special about it. Good for a place to rest.

    Very Good

I got a private room. It was nice. My issue was with the staff and reception. 1. No english. 2. Hostelworld says “no curfew” and “24 hour reception”. After partying/bar hopping in the park until 4am. I come back a hostel completely locked up. I rang the bell. Took 10 minutes for an answer. The gentleman informs my Colombian girlfriend that they “have a curfew of 1am”. Personally I’d stay at Black Sheep next door. This hostel won’t last unless they change the staffs attitude and work ethic.

Did not actually stay here because when we want to book in they had given our room away already - problem with booking system. They did not tell us this initially but just started booking another hostel quite far away. We booked there because friends nearby, which we explained so they put us in another hostel nearer but very small room with bunkbeds when we had booked twin beds. Very kindly drove us to the other hostel but communication was lacking and didn't feel we got what we had paid for

This hostel is in a pretty good location, close to bars and restaurants. The only problem is the lack of vibe and atmosphere and we found the beds and pillows not very comfortable, we left after one night to find a hostel with a little more life. There is nothing particularly wrong with the hostel, it's clean but just lacked atmosphere, which is a shame because they have an awesome bar out the back that no one used and the lights were off when we were there.

Basic hostel, with nice staff. Is mainly a spill over location for people who don’t book in next door soon enough.

The location was too far away from el poblado and the bars to walk at night. The kitchen was not well equipped, and the fridge was locked for a portion of the day. The breakfast was very basic. The atmosphere was lacking. Although there was a bar there, I did not see anybody use it even once. There was only one guy at the reception the whole time I was there. He was helpful, but unfortunately I don't have Spanish, which made communicating a little difficult.

I booked a room at art city hostel at 10:30 pm for a female friend travelling alone. I instructed her to go to the hostel and when this young solo female traveller arrived at the hostel before midnight they turned her away and said they didnt have a bed for her. Why Did they take the booking only 45 minutes earlier? How dare they turn a young woman out into the street at midnight with no place to stay and no assistance in helping her find a place to stay. It is disgusting what they did!!
