Overview

Here at Art Hole Hostel, we’re a sociable bunch. That’s why we have two huge living rooms for travellers to meet each other and we serve up a big home-cooked veggie meal (for just 4 euros) every night of the week. Solo backpackers can get to know us and other visitors on our free city tour, after a free breakfast in our Pop Art-dedicated lounge. Can't get enough of Andy Warhol? Use our free Wi-Fi to post photo after photo.

Location

We’re a 4-minute wander away from the nightlife and architecture of Prague Old Town Square, so you can drop off your bag and head out straight away. From the airport, take bus 119 from terminal 1, change at Nádraží Veleslavín for tram 26. Get off at Dlouhá třída and we’re just around the corner. From the main train station, we're a 16-minute walk through Vrchlického park, and from Praha Florenc bus station, you can reach us in 10 minutes on foot. From us, it's a 20-minute walk to Charles Bridge and 30 minutes to the 9th-century Prague Castle.

Rooms and Dorms

Need a towel or travel adaptor? Rent them from reception for a few euros when you check in. We've got both mixed and female-only dorms, and you’ll find under-bed lockers in both, to keep your backpack and belongings safe and sound. And linen is free, so you can save space in your luggage for something more exciting than a bed sheet.

Extras and activities

Travelling on a budget? We have two communal kitchens for you to cook up lunch or dinner in – grab something from our herb garden to flavour your pasta. After-lunch coffee? Drink outside on our terrace before you head out. For a fly-by tour or Prague’s greatest sights, rent a bike from the front desk and check them off with your free city map. Our reception staff are on hand 24/7 to suggest the best pubs or to print your boarding pass.

Such an amazing little hostel. So personal and a great way to meet people on your travels. The staff are so helpful with telling you where’s cheap and traditional for food and drinks, they also make you feel really at home during your stay. If I’m ever in Prague I will 100% be going back!!!

Really lovely stay. Staff were incredibly friendly and very accommodating. Generally the hostel is an amazing place to meet people as well and to chill out and have some very cheap beer with other travellers. Highly recommend!

I had a lovely first time in Prague, in large part to do with the lovely staff and other travellers I met at this hostel. It’s very laid back and friendly - while also the kind of place you can easily get involved in a night out. The Hostel is really central and in a safe area, plus the bars and restaurants close by (that the staff recommended) were also really good. I’ll definitely be coming back here, I’m sad I didn’t stay longer!

I thought the staff and location were great, and there is a nice area to hang out in. You aren't given a key to get into the hostel, so you have to ring the buzzer to be let in every time. On several occasions I had to wait a little before being let in. My room had lockers for everyone, but only a few of them were large enough to accommodate anything bigger than a backpack. And there was one shower with a bad mold problem. Overall, I was happy with the hostel and I would return.

    Fabulous

The location was great, and the staff where friendly. However I did not feel very safe staying here. Only two bathrooms and one shower per level. Many of the guests where very loud and obnoxious.

Interesting place, good location, but way to loud. I recommend if your only doing a night or two. Bed was fine, staff was friendly, but I got stuck outside for awhile since one of the staff went for a drink. System of how to get inside could be improved.
