Overview

Here at Art Hole Hostel, we’re a sociable bunch. That’s why we have two huge living rooms for travellers to meet each other and we serve up a big home-cooked veggie meal (for just 4 euros) every night of the week. Solo backpackers can get to know us and other visitors on our free city tour, after a free breakfast in our Pop Art-dedicated lounge. Can't get enough of Andy Warhol? Use our free Wi-Fi to post photo after photo.

Location

We’re a 4-minute wander away from the nightlife and architecture of Prague Old Town Square, so you can drop off your bag and head out straight away. From the airport, take bus 119 from terminal 1, change at Nádraží Veleslavín for tram 26. Get off at Dlouhá třída and we’re just around the corner. From the main train station, we're a 16-minute walk through Vrchlického park, and from Praha Florenc bus station, you can reach us in 10 minutes on foot. From us, it's a 20-minute walk to Charles Bridge and 30 minutes to the 9th-century Prague Castle.

Rooms and Dorms

Need a towel or travel adaptor? Rent them from reception for a few euros when you check in. We've got both mixed and female-only dorms, and you’ll find under-bed lockers in both, to keep your backpack and belongings safe and sound. And linen is free, so you can save space in your luggage for something more exciting than a bed sheet.

Extras and activities

Travelling on a budget? We have two communal kitchens for you to cook up lunch or dinner in – grab something from our herb garden to flavour your pasta. After-lunch coffee? Drink outside on our terrace before you head out. For a fly-by tour or Prague’s greatest sights, rent a bike from the front desk and check them off with your free city map. Our reception staff are on hand 24/7 to suggest the best pubs or to print your boarding pass.

The Art hole hostel is a perfect place to stay when you want to make some new international friends :) The free breakfast was a good way to start my day when I had not planned my day yet, I get to hear all experiences from other travelers. The reception is very cosy, I enjoyed spending some time with the staff and Travelers there. It really felt like home. Very clean, the hostel looks a bit old but the art on the walls fits perfectly in it!

The best hostel I have been in during my interrail. You meet many new friends in the common room / during breakfast. Love the artwork on the walls!

I loved the hostel! Staff very kind and ready to give recommendations. Very nice the “veggie dinners” planned every day. Only one small negative note: 8:30 as a starting time for the breakfast is a bit too late, but the staff has been anyway flexible to satisfy any need from the guests, like the early departure in my case. Thank you!

20-30 minutes walk from quite a few attractions and nightclubs, but close to the old town. Very very nice staff with lots of recommendations and a great free breakfast! The lighting is terrible in all the bathrooms and rooms, making doing makeup hard. Nice kitchen for cooking though, and it was pretty social while I was there, lots of people chatting. There were a lot of young people staying there (17/18years) as well, plan accordingly

Amazing place with super friendly people! I recommend this place for sure! Not that many showers, and the drilling was annoying but the people working there make up for it! The guests are great too! The common room is the place to be as everyone is super friendly. Unless you get lucky, and you have a sick group of people in your room!

Do not stay here. First day there was no hot water for showers. The toilets and showers are so cramped you can barely move let alone put your belongings somewhere. WiFi is horrible. Basically all high school students staying here. Have no idea why it got so many good reviews. Only good things are proximity to town and a bare bones free breakfast in the morning.
