The staff at Astor Kensington are so lovely and helpful. I stayed for two weeks and any time I had a question or needed something they were always so happy to help. The facilities were clean & the environment was really relaxed. I will definitely be staying there again.

I have stayed in a few hostels around Europe but Astor Kensington has been my favourite! The staff are super friendly and helpful, the bedroom I was in was super spacious for 7 people and the bathroom was clean with a really decent shower. The location is fantastic, Hyde park is a 2 minute walk away and there are two tube stations within 5 minutes. The area and hostel feels really safe for a solo female traveller. For the price you pay, it is such fantastic value for money!! 100% recommend!

Great spot for a night or two in a great area. Linens feel clean. Bathrooms are well kept. Under some construction while I was there but that’s obviously temporary. Really amazing value.

    Fabulous

Positives : Lovely staff, great location, good security cages (however there weren't enough per bed in each room), could use ID to get locks instead of money, nice clean white linen. Negatives : Bad bathrooms - zero ventilation/windows and smelt like mould, bunks were 3 levels and didnt have slates so things would fall off bulk onto ground from tall height, hot rooms and fan was loud. Overall I just wanted somewhere quiet, non party, good location, cheapish price and this hostel meet that :)

It was boiling hot in the room, had one fan. The fan couldn’t really hit everyone. Never stay on the fifth floor if it’s sunny out. Other than that it was okay for what we needed it for.

This hostel was renovating at the time of our stay, so the building was covered in dust and smelt like paint the whole time which was really frustrating as we were not warned of this and would have stayed elsewhere. There were work men outside our bedroom window every morning which was very uncomfortable. The facilities were great and the staff were nice. It was also very hot in London when we were here so the rooms were uncomfortably hot, but we were given a fan which helped!

Worst hostel experience. The hostel is disgustingly filthy and is covered in building waste, it's a complete building site. The rooms weren't cleaned when I was there and the toilets constantly blocked. Rooms are so cramped and hot. The staff are absolutely horrific. They constantly sat outside the hostel and smoked and drank at all hours often leaving the desk unattended. They were incredibly rude at all times and offered no help whatsoever when I raised issues. Do not stay it's not worth it.
