Absolutely loved my stay here! I recommend to all! Everyone is so friendly, outgoing and nice whether that’s the staff or the people staying there. The free dinners and charity breakfasts were a huge plus. The location was great and I always felt safe there. Not sure if anyone else is a shower guru but the water pressure was so nice! Overall, would definitely stay again and would recommend this hostel to anyone!! Thank you Astor for the amazing stay :)

Loved studying here, the staff was super lovely and had a chilled out environment. It’s in a quaint part of town located right next to the British museum but close walk to public transport and also lots of bars and clubs if that’s what you are looking for.

Great staff really contributed to the vibe of the hostel. Some of the facilities are a little old but they do the job. They do loads of activities and social things most evenings.

I had a really good time in London and an overall great experience at Astor. Facilities weren’t incredible, the room I was in was cramped and the beds made lots of noise but I met the most amazing people and that always overrides a cramped room. The free dinner and charity breakfast are huge pluses. Location is really great, plenty of sights within walking distance and tube stops close by if needed. When I make my way back to London, I’ll be staying here!

Overall great stay! We were only aware of the annex because of previous reviews, so we were expecting it, but they did not supply that information when booking.

    Good

The good: Helpful staff, fantastic location. The bad: The hostel is extremely cramped, measuring about 6m in length and 2m in breadth, for a 4 persons bunk. If you have a luggage, it's going to be really difficult to open in the room, since the bed has already taken up 1m in breadth. There was ONE toilet and TWO showers on the whole of the 4th floor, meant for about 20 people. No soap/shampoo, and no hooks in some bathrooms. Overall, great location for convenience but not worthy of a 9 score.
