This hostel is by far the best one I have ever stayed in. From the staff, to all the things they offer either for free (dinners, events, lockers) or for a small deposit. A place where you can meet other travellers but also somewhere to stay for a quiet nights sleep. They genuinely care and want you to have the best time! Amazing location right in the heart of London and there seems to always be someone cleaning and keeping the building well maintained. Love it!!

You can’t beat the location! Check-in was east, bring extra ID cards or cash for collateral for free lock and electronic entry card. The internet connection upstairs in the bedroom was strong- the lounge was a bit small, so I worked upstairs. Kitchen staff make donation based breakfast for $1.5 (goes to charity) and free dinner. Those are very nice touches.

Such a nice place! Staff was super helpful and friendly, bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Not exactly a place for people looking to party but for my one night there that was perfectly fine. Shower wasn’t great, the stream was weird, and the bathroom was pretty dirty in the morning w/ hair from some dude shaving, but that’s expected w/ so many people sharing. Also byo shower stuff because they don’t supply it for you. But still, one of my better hostel experiences :)

Probably the hostel more hostel that I've stayed. An amazing location, near the most iconic points of London. I hardly ever needed to use transportation. The staff was very thoughtful and ready to help you with anything. They provide small things that make a huge difference as lockers, towels, maps, discounts. The breakfast is great and your contribution can even help some charity group. They also provide free dinner, simple, but helps a lot if you want to spare in London. I do recommend Astor

You probably can't get better value for your money anywhere else. The location is absolutely ideal and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Every bed comes with a locker and a plug, and there's a luggage room you can use. You have basically everything you need here - obviously no luxury here, but at this price, again, you can't expect anything better.

Rude and lazy young staff with some unwelcoming inside jokes, which you'll soon find out. If you booked the basic room, you're on our own after paying. They'll send you off in the dark to find your stay couple blocks away without clear advice. There's no clear sign on that door either, there actually is nothing at all to signifiy the place. I guess that those who recommend this hostel to other innocent travellers, didn't have any experience on any other hostel in London.
