The staff was very helpful. Sh helped me with my bags, orient me with the place, and showed me to my room. The next morning, she helped me with my bags again, made me some coffee and some pancakes

This place is as relaxed as Holland - it is very chill - but also very well run. The place is organized and clean, the communication is easy and straight. I like this place a lot. It is good to walk around and see the park, enjoy the sunny weather. Incredible houses all around, a very very nice area. Close to the action, but not in the craziness - perfect.

I travel alone as a female and safety is always my most important part at hostel. At Atlas House I always feel safe and happy. It is also good for me because I get to practice english - everyone is so friendly! I feel like I am in my home. I like the house a lot, it always is clean and the bathrooms are very spacious which is good too.

I love most the location here of hostel. All morning I easy walk to Mojo coffee, or satsuma cafe, surreys juice bar, and lots more options. To me it is very important to be able to walk everywhere because I have no car. This is the best hostel for walking, and a good place to have intelligent conversation. I will definitely be back.

stayed with a few friends in the private bedroom. late check-in was very easy and the hostel is very communicative. bathroom was ok shape - very low water pressure. king bed and queen bed could easily fit 4 - but we're also small people so we found it easy to move around and enough space for our overnight bags too. I didn't see anyone at reception due to the odd hours I was around, but everything was easy to find. It was a great space - loved the backyard patio the most. Will likely return

I was not going to leave a review. It seemed like your average hostel to me--sometimes too noisy at 5am and could have used another shower, but otherwise fine. Good value for money especially with the pancake breakfast. But then I received an email saying that I would be put into a lottery for $350 gift card if I gave a review that "stood out to us in a positive way", which stood out to me as unethical. I hope this review convinces them to reward a random review regardless of positivity.

The cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. The room floor appeared not to have been mopped at all and our slippers were all dark after stepping on the room floor. The hostel is a potential fire hazard without smoking detector. The dormitory is very cramped with three levels of bunk beds (9 in total) in a small room without lockers and all belongings were lying on the floor. If you want a place for the night with minimal spending this is the place.

I did not go to New Orleans. I did not stay at Atlas House. They demanded full payment upfront, which I paid. When I cancelled my reservation, instead of processing a full refund, I received an e-mail saying they are a 'mom and pop' hostel, and that they can't afford to pay all of the refunds. Their voicemail is full and will not accept messages. I need that money, and since I have not been able to get my refund, I have filed a dispute with PayPal. I am presently homeless & I need that money.
