There is absolutely nothing to fault the location and offering here. It was pretty much as I expected - but thought it needs to be fair on the condition of the rooms. The accommodation in Bilbo's rest was tidy but tired, I want to stress it did not disappoint at all but will be useful for others to be aware. The bath tub and shower was basic, the water pressure wasn't great. Bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows - there is also a heather for cold nights, the stone floors does benefit from it.

Nice hostel with friendly and helpful staff. The dorm room was a bit cramped and lacked a power outlet to charge things. The outdoor bathtub was very cool. A hiking trail starts off from the backpackers, which is really convenient. Overall a nice place to stay at with a really good vibe.

First room, Frodo, had a terrible musty/mouldy smell. Asked for a room change which was accommodated with ease. The whole place needs serious TLC, couches in common areas are ripped or dirty, appliances in self-catering kitchen are not working, bedding was old, bed was rock hard and uncomfortable. They advised they were changing the focus to be a Yoga Retreat in the near future, it will need serious sprucing up before then. Room itself was expensive compared to other, much nicer places

The path to the main building had a lot of lamps that were broken. A real lack of maintenance! We even had to give a ride by car to some old customer, because he couldn't get through the path by day because of its neglected state. The pizza was no big deal, just a lump of cheese and way too expensive. The driveway from the main road had almost impassable sections with holes and so on. Don't they repair their own access road? The holes were there from long before the rain.
