Property Description

B&B pension Hakodate-mura is conveniently located in the heart of the Hakodate western district on the bay side.
There is the leading tourist attractions in Hakodate. As one of the first Japanese little harbor cities to be opened to
international trade after the country's era of isolation. Hakodate has experienced notable influence from overseas,
and the foreign population's former residential district and a Western style fort are among its main tourist attractions.
The recommended one is so beautiful and memorable night view from mountain top and walking leisurely around slope road.

Our friendly B&B provide clean, simple, and woody guest rooms (all rooms are non smoking and shared bathroom).
The summer season in Hokkaido is short and there are not too many hot days...such reasons, we do not have facilities
such as air conditioners other than electric fans and central heating.

We are B&B...but breakfast is not included in your charges because many travelers will be enjoyed seafoods
breakfast at the morning market. We provide only homemade western style breakfast for our guests who tired of
Japanese foods. Please order separately on the day before have a breakfast (840 JPY per person included tax). View House Rules

We spent a relaxing couple of nights here. Our host made a great recommendation for dinner (a small soba restaurant nearby).

Good location that was clean and safe. It is also within walking distance of 10-15 minutes to Mount Goryokaku and the Morning Market, which fit my purposes for a one night stay.

Our stay at B&B Hakodate-mura was absolutely wonderful! The location is great, just a short walk from the major sights in Hakodate and the mountain itself. The owner is incredibly sweet and did everything to make us feel at home in her place. The rooms have a cottage feel and are very cozy.

Note: this is an old style accommodation, with curfew and a strict rule about not entering the premises before the check in time. Other than that... The place is wonderful, well located, with a very old style vibe (but clean and nicely maintained), and the staff is nice.

We happened to be the only guests during the 2 nights of stay and it was really a heartwarming start to our Japan adventures. A homely feel from the house spiced with the warm reception of the owners and their pet dog whom we happened to discover by chance. Walkable distance to the redbrick warehouse and ropeway to convenience our exploration of the sleepy city of Hakodate.

Overall a lovely place. The classic atmoshpere of the rooms and the common areas was great and very relaxing. It is a bit of a walk from Hakodate station so I would suggest getting a taxi or tram but it wasn't too much of a hassle. Also, it is very close to almost all of the major sights of the main city so it more than makes up for the long walk form the station.

A charming little guest-house in surprisingly charming Hakodate. It's not a terribly fancy place, but the genuine Hokkaido warmth of the woman who runs it more than makes up for the simplicity of the accommodations. The strong heater in the room was very welcome, and the location is perfect for the downtown warehouse shopping area, and the popular ropeway. Also, the breakfast was delicious, and the downstairs lounge very comfortable. I recommend Pension and would stay here again.

A lovely, homey feeling place that was just right for our four night stay in Hakodate. The owners were extremely nice and spoke English well - communication was no problem. The beds were a bit on the firm side, and the rooms don’t have much atmosphere, but it is really hard to beat the location. The B&B is within a five minute walk of great food and interesting historical attractions. The common areas were charming and welcoming. The whole place is immaculately clean.
