The clue’s in the name of our hostel: Backpackers In Paradise. Here, you’ll find a 50ft swimming pool as well as a huge sundeck with a barbecue for cooking up a feast. When you’re not lazing the day away in a hammock or knocking around on the table tennis, grab a free bodyboard and hit the waves. But not before you’ve had your free breakfast in our sunny central courtyard. For a cup of proper barista-made coffee, head to our Paradise Café. Or slip into the Jacuzzi for some serious relaxation!

You’ll find us right in fun, buzzing Surfers Paradise. Can’t wait to get in the water? Surfers Paradise Beach is only 9 minutes’ walk away. If you fancy ticking some culture highlights off your list, stroll 12 minutes to the Skypoint Observation Deck to get those all-important views (and Instagram shots). Roaming off the beaten path? Hop on the bus at the Surfers Paradise station to go further afield. The Light Rail at Cavill Avenue (seven minutes away) will take you to Gold Coast Airport in under an hour with only one change.

the best regulation is that no noise is permitted after midnight. Although some sporadic clamor occurred at around 3 am, in general it is quite a good hostel if silence is your propensity.

Nice place with a bar that allows people to mingle and hangout. Location is a bit of a walking distance such as a 10mins walk from main Cavil Avenue.

Stayed in a twin room which was good value. Kitchen is decent if a little small. Staff were friendly and the location is good for going into surfers paradise or travelling to other places on the coast. Good value food if you wanted to eat in the hostel.

Wifi is bad and limited. Pretty expensive I thought for communal everything. Laundry only does a cold wash for $4.

Nice hostel, rooms were basic but clean. Very partyish which is completely fine with me, but I don't expect to see the staff looking stoned off their faces and grumpy when I check in... All was a bit clicky so didn't really feel welcome

    Very Good

No Aussies allowed in dorms is a joke of a rule! I had to pay over $80 for a private room and still share a bathroom. I had no issue in Byron Bay or Brisbane. The room itself was a double bed with a door, window and one electrical outlet that happens to be on the other side of the room - I couldn’t charge my phone Whilst lying on my bed. The hostel itself is old and rundown; lacks comfort. The staff are friendly and the drinks are cheap. Free brekky is a nice touch (2 toast).
