Super clean and great environment! The owners are great, really nice and they gave us some great tips for the rest of our trip. We ended up choosing to stay here again on the way back. I would highly recommend it.

This place was the perfect combination of hostel and high end. My husband and I were traveling this January and this place was perfect on our self-drive through the golden circle. It was just us two but if you are going with a big group I would highly recommend it. This place has board games, a loaded kitchen, tons of tables / space, the beds were comfortable with each bed having one suitcase storage area and one small lockable locker. We definitely plan on staying here again on our next visit.

We stayed in a twin room (ensuite) for one night and the room was great. It was very big, clean, had a small kitchen offering everything you need for preparing a breakfast. The room even had a separate terrace with chairs. Unfortunately it was raining heavily during our stay so we couldn’t use it.Definitely one of the nicest hostels I ever stayed. Eyrarbakki itself does not offer much. It was a good option for our last night before heading to Keflavik airport via the blue lagoon (50min drive).

The hostel seems to be separated from the hotel. I was the only one in the hostel that night so it was very quiet but a little too much. There was no real ambiance in the hostel, no music, no life etc. just the staff talking to each other. Breakfast was good and you can also buy some local beers at the desk. Rooms are very clean and confortable, same for showers. Facilities are perfect ! and it's on the sea side, so it's perfect for beautiful sunsets.
