Nestled in the bison valley near Munnar, this mansion cum resort this surreal. The resort surrounded by cardamom plantations is sculptured out of bamboo wood, and looks like a huge mansion or villa turned into a cozy nature retreat. What makes the stay more comfortable is the staff, which are very polite, humble providing hospitality at its best. The resort has its own cardamom plantation, organic fish farms etc. Moreover from now they have also build tree-houses to provide great stay experience

    1. Staff: Wonderful, warm! - Akhil made us feel at home and so helpful. 2. Hotel: Peaceful, serene, great views. 2. Location: It says Munnar but its not. Its in bison valley, 30-40 mins away from munnar and tea plantations. 3. Service: We were 2 female travelers who booked dorms. They upgraded us to a private room with room service! 4. Solo travel: If you're traveling alone, re-consider. It was more families and nothing much to do around. Munnar is about tea plantations so stay close to that.

This was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Although a little tricky to get to from Munnar (a bus can get you half the way to make it cheaper), it was very nice to get away from all the hustle. A highlight of my stay here was the tour by local guide Akhil, who taught us about all of the different plants and spices growing in the area. The building, bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean and tidy. I stayed in the dorm room which was nice, it had a cupboard and lockable draw to put gear in.

Pros: beautiful property, extremely clean, delicious free breakfast with an incredible view Cons: patchy hot water, location is one hour tuk tuk from Munnar, staff are well meaning but we’re a little frustrating at times

    Very Good

Gorgeous accommodation in the trees. Very peaceful and quiet. Staff were so helpful about busses and the area. Do the sunrise trek, the guide was adorable and it was spectacular. Made going to Munnar worth it. It is far from Munnar but then not much going on in Munnar anyways. Food was cheap and good.

Expected a very relaxing and tranquil retreat, however this hostel emitted almost an eerie/ too quiet sort of vibe; something was missing - maybe we came at a bad time/ off season. Despite this, the staff were friendly and helpful which made our stay pleasant. The showers only had cold water and there was no shortage of bugs as expected with any rural/ forest setting. Overall I’m sad to say I was a little disappointed with this hostel; perhaps a stop better suited to an older demographic.
