When I first arrived in Wailuku I was second guessing coming as the area doesn’t have much so I was worried I’d be bored. However, this hostel makes it worth it as it’s great for socialising and the free tours give a great opportunity to view what Maui has to offer. Special thanks to Sam and Billy who work at the hostel for being amazing people and ensuring we had a fun stay. Possibly my favourite hostel I’ve stayed at :)

Had a nice one day stay, even after our flight was so delayed that we missed one of the nights. The hostel was understandably unable to refund us but website has credited us our deposit. The staff was very nice and we had no problem with the other guests. Amenities were clean and easy to use. There were some cool free tours given daily that you can check out in the hall, which we did not get a chance to take because of our short time. It seems like a very party/young people kind hostel.

    Very Good

The staff and the daily tours are the highlight of this place. Take full advantage of that while you're here. They do their best to keep the bathrooms clean but there's just far too many guests for like 7 bathrooms. It's inevitable that they get a bit gross but at least it's cleaned daily. Lovely accommodating staff, comfortable beds, strict quiet hours, and close proximity to several stores.

    Very Good

You get what you pay. This is prob. One of the cheapest places to stay in Maui. You can say that the location is in the ghetto part of Maui. At night time a lot of weirdos hang out around that I am pretty sure are not travelers. If you come alone, this is a good place because they take you to different tours daily and that is just very convenient. But if you are trying to do things in your own, you need to rent a car. By the way, finding parking at the bungalow it’s really difficult.

The first thing to note is that there’s no actual guaranteed parking. You might get lucky but overall it’s street parking. I had to park several blocks away. I wish I had known prior to arriving because it was late at night. The bathrooms were definitely too few for the number of guests and weren’t always clean, especially in the evenings. The excursions were a highlight of this place; worth doing them. The kitchen was useful and plenty of fridge space for everyone to store their food.

Honestly was disappointed. Felt that this was essentially a frat house with locals all living there and passed out on the pool table, floor, wherever. Party scene most nights. Could be MUCH cleaner, bathrooms were gross. Have stayed in other hostels with cleaner facilities and a more welcoming atmosphere.
