The people I met were absolutely amazing. All from different countries. As an American from Texas, I really needed that culturally.

Staff weren’t very helpful (not willing to offer suggestion or help book things) but the facilities were good and breakfast was yum. Lockers aren’t big enough for bags but you can lock your valuables.

It’s a good place with a great location but not really clean, the sheets didn’t smell clean and the rooms had dust on the beds and shelves.

I stayed here two weekend summer nights (private room). Definitely not worth $100+ for a single person. The room itself can accommodate up the 3 people because of a bunk bed & single full sized bed. The mattresses are very uncomfortable (firm) so I didn't sleep well. The room had a 4-5 tier shelf, microwave, mini fridge, table with two chairs & reasonable closet space. Breakfast was dismal (packaged oatmeal, cheap cereal, yogurt, styrofoam plates/bowl). Location was nice, but won’t stay again.

Kitchen is very dirty and staff look they are bored as hell. As if they are just working "meh" the amateur comedy night was pretty good though. But the hostel itself is pretty mediocre

On arrival staff were blank, no suggestions, not engaging and didn't create any sort of welcome. Private Twin room, was a double bed and two bunk beds - not ideal for two guys sharing. However they were comfy and the room was very clean with house keeping each day. WiFi didn't work throughout. No Air Con. Breakfast was good enough, toast, cereals, coffee tea. All you need. Just sadly not the hostel vibe I would have expected for LA.

You get what you pay for at this hostel. Most staff weren't very helpful and the atmosphere wasn't great. The rooms are ok, major advantage is own bathroom but good location and cheap. Due to the dry atmosphere I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're after a true hostel experience.
