My friends and I stayed at the Banana Farm for a week and it couldn’t have been better! Veronica who manages the whole property is absolutely lovely and an amazing cook. The room was super clean and cozy and the bathroom was the best one I had in 3 months of travelling in Tansania. I can recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice and chill place to recharge!

It’s indeed a great place to stay while in Arusha. Everything was lovely and the stuff is very friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be far from the noisy city center of Arusha.

This was one of the best hostels that I have experienced. Godwin was accommodating even months before our arrival by arranging a Kili climb for us with the BEST guides, Peter and Wilson. He even set us up with a Serengeti safari trip upon arrival. They created incredible homemade meals (locally sourced from the farm). Godwin is doing admirable things for his community through the hostel-you truly have to experience it to understand for yourself. Banana Farm was the highlight of Tanzania for me!

We stayed here before and after our safari. We loved the rooms, and the yard has an amazing hangout area with a campfire spot at night. We really enjoyed our the free farm tour and all the meals. Staff are very generous and kind... on New Year’s Eve they provided delicious free meals for the celebration. Best bananas I’ve ever eaten were from this farm. Overall great atmosphere and worth being away from town, very chill place.

Wonderful place indeed with friendly staff and great food. We stayed there two nights as nd had a great time. You can have as many bananas as you like. Every dish contains bananas. Loved the banana stew. You also get a tour. Interesting to learn and see how a bio gas system works. It’s a bit far out from Arusha but in a bus or a taxi you can get anywhere. I would come back.

Like an Oasis to recover from busy arusha City! Up the Hill away from traffic beautifully located below (outside) arusha np/mt. Meru. You can explore the Area by yourself (waterfall) or Join the Farm tour. They even have their own Biogas from the farm cows! Lots of fruits, evening Snack and delicious Dinner! Felt Like being part of the Family! Garden is very nice with hammocks. Really enjoyed my time Here!

The staff was amazing. They cook a daily breakfast, snack and dinner all very delish and inexpensive. It is very remote that not even the taxi knew how to get there but I was just there for my safari which I booked through them. Highly recommend the hostel and the safari through the same owner.

Really lovely place to stay with great rooms and lovely good. Main downsides were it's a bit far from Arusha for convenience and the shower came and went but not a big deal overall. It's a very good place to chill for a few days.
