A lovely hostel, run by lovely people! We had a very nice stay at the Pension Barbieri Hostel. The people who run this place were so helpful and obliging. The beds are comfortable, there is a good kitchen, and it was a good value for the price. One night we had to change to the Barbieri Cave, because the hostel was full, and this too was a very nice place. Quite a distance from the center, but with a beautiful view and a cozy atmosphere. I can recommend both places.

    Fabulous

I'm very happy that this time I chose Barbieri Hostel for my acommodation. The hostel seems very small, and with a very limited range of additional facilities, but for me it added up to its charm of being very friendly and familiar place. I could easily talk to the staff and they helped me with everything I needed, offering their genuine help and advice.

My son and I had a great time and met some great people . With most of the staff being amazing and going above beyond to help. The manager awful. I told her that I saw a member of staff in one of the rooms going in a bag. She told me that it was a friend and that he had permission i was made to feel I was lying, I was also told outside of the hostel that the place has had several robberies lately and other people also wrote on here. So watch out . Such a shame as we loved this place. Beware !

It was in a great location with a fully equipped kitchen for us to use. We stayed in a double room. After our first night we discovered bedbug bites and found the bugs in the mattress. We alerted the staff and they moved us to a new room, but gave us the option of a full refund instead. Because of this, they offered us the washing machine for free. Overall, they handled the situation really well but make sure you check for bugs. Even though we were both affected, we'd still recommend this hostel

Heaters don't work in some dorm rooms and it's been like this for quite some time judging by the reaction from staff members. Other than freezing at night it was a great place to stay though

    Good

The location of the hostel is really good, right in the center. But the atmosphere was cold and people really loud after midnight. But the worst was that we need to pay 2€ for the luggage room, which is a basic that I never had to pay in my life. Super expensive for what it is because it was a holiday. We also saw a rule that you need to pay 5€ if you need to spend the day at the hostel when you have done your check out. Hopefully, the lady at the reception did not charged us.
