Barefoot Kuata is a MUST visit. Amazing staff, amazing high quality buffet food, excellent facilities in a breathtaking beautiful location. We stayed in the 6-bed dorm and it was spacious, right on the beach and often empty! The bathroom facilities were so luxurious and always spotless. This was my favourite resort due to the food, the shark dive/snorkel opportunity (that you don’t get anywhere else) and because it wasn’t crowded and the staff were so friendly. I cannot recommend it enough!

Incredible place, staff are amazing, very personal experience that is great for solo backpackers. Dorms are tents on the beach- get up and watch the sunrise- so so beautiful! Tim will climb the trees and get you coconuts! Best start to my island hopping trip! Cannot recommend highly enough!

The shark dive here was amazing. Super cool resort. Great cliffs with great views. Ok buffet style food served while there. The reef was swimmable all day, even at low tide. Do the shark dive even if you’ve never dove!!!!

Barefoot Kuata was great, stayed in the 6 bed dorm on the beach it was very clean! The activities are all included and were good fun! The shark dive is reasonably priced and felt incredibly safe with the dive team, would highly recommend staying here!

Enjoyed our stay at Kuata. Staff are very friendly and resort is small so you get to know people quite well. Stayed in a bure which was nice however it didn’t meet our high expectations after staying at Octopus resort. More traditional style. Could have done with a thorough clean of ceilings etc. Did shark snorkel - very good!

    Very Good

    13 Aug 2019
It was a very beautiful place as far as location and pool area but the accommodations and food were more expensive than I expected. The website for Kuata resort was misleading and the resort itself made me think that meals were included with my balance due. I paid close to double what I understood was due and for this reason I will not return.

There was an apparent miscommunication between staff and they charged me $60 more for my room when I checked out. They didn’t offer any reconciliation for their mistake. They also tried to move me from my room in the afternoon for an “upgrade” even though I said I was happy where I was staying. Because a bunch of people come for just the afternoon it has a busy, distant feel. You can also see reef sharks snorkeling anywhere in the islands without 20 people vying around you. Would not recommend.
