Treat yourself to a little luxury without the price tag at Billabong Hostel. Lounge by our saltwater swimming pool or hook up to our free Wi-Fi while you think of some suitable hashtags. Our common room's the ideal place to get chatting to other travellers, and there's a bar where you can try the local spirits. For lunch, whether you want sticky rice or chips, you’ll be able to get both Asian and Western dishes from our on-site restaurant. We also host daily tours that explore Cambodia's culture and history.

We’ve got a super laid-back spot surrounded by landscaped gardens but close to the centre of Phnom Penh. Pay a visit to the home of Cambodia’s king at The Royal Palace (a 20-minute walk away) or learn about the country’s past at the National Museum (a 15-minute walk from us). For some authentic fish amok (curry), head down to the waterfront for Phnom Penh's night markets, a 20-minute stroll away. If you’re coming in from Phnom Penh International Airport, the best way to reach us is by tuk-tuk or taxi. The journey takes about 30 minutes.

Both the private rooms and shared dorms (mixed or female-only) come with free lockers, bed linen, towels and en-suites. We should probably mention our inner-spring mattresses too – they’re really comfy!

Throughout your stay, we’ll be on reception 24/7 to answer your questions and hand out free city maps. We can book your ongoing transport to make life a little easier, and we'll also arrange an airport transfer.

Really found this hostel to be brilliant! Stayed in the female dorm and I have not been so well rested in any other hostel! The S21 museum & killing fields tour was really good (although I think the split should be more time at the S21 rather than the killing fields) and helped us meet loads of people in the hostel. Found this to be a good hostel for social interaction and meeting new friends!

Great hostel! Nice to look at, great pool, nice reasonably-priced cafe. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The organised bus to S-21 & The Killing Fields is 100% worth doing. The dorms were a good size, but the bathrooms were GREAT double the size of most in SEA so that was luxury. Good location, easy to navigate around town. Easy to book buses onward from PP through them, too.

Very good value for money, the room was big, bed comfortable and the food very cheap and delicious. Lovely pool area.

Billabong was really nice. I would describe it as hotel facilities with a hostel vibe. The pool was really nice and the food was good. Beds were comfortable, and the rooms very spacious. A very relaxed atmosphere, but there's music playing by the pool, beers are cheap, and I met other backpackers here. They also offer transport to the S21 museum and the killing fields for $7 which is a must see in Phnom Penh.

I spent 1 night here so didn’t really use any of the facilities, the pool is nice and big and feels good to be in salt water. Food is great beers are cheap. Staff were some times slow and not very proactive but really nice. The age group here was varied from 15-60. During my stay there must of been a school Summer camp from France which made the atmosphere weird.

Great place to chill and talk to other people. Like the pool to just dip in after a hot day. The staff at the reception was a little bit rude but I just killed them with kindness 😂.

DONT stay here if you are under 25. Read the reviews expecting a social place as I’m a young girl traveling alone and everyone here was abrasive. Stayed in the 10 bed mix dorm and was in a room with men 30-65+. Overall the vibe was terrible. It’s a hotel as well? So heaps of families? Would have been a great place to stay as the facilities are great if it was advertised as a hotel as well. Showers are gross and smell. Lockers are a decent size. Food is good but pricey for cambodia.
