I stayed at the black sheep 6 years ago and it was great! This time around my experience was exactly the same. The owner runs a tight ship, and the black sheep is consistent with cleanliness, security, friendly staff, excellent information about the city, great tours, etc.

This hostel was excellent from start to finish. It has a full kitchen and is 5 mins walk from a large supermarket so self-catering is very easy. Less than 10 mins walk from the metro means it is easy to get around the city. The large table out front serves as a gathering space every evening so it is easy to meet people and there is a good vibe. There are also several other spaces to gather for a little more quiet or privacy. My only though to improve is to add lockers in the rooms.

We stayed in a double bed private- very clean, had a nice view, quiet at night. Was a little warm at times. The hostel overall was great, staff were helpful and location was perfect. Easy to meet people of you wanted and to also relax.

Brilliant vibe with communal table heaving with people during the evening. Lovely staff and facilities. About a 15-20 minute walk or $4 Uber from the main area of Poblado. 12-bed dorm could use a fan to circulate the air. Not awesome if there’s a bunch of blokes in there. Otherwise clean and comfortable.

There is nothing negative to say about BSH. Access to metro system - away from pablado bars Not as social of environment as I was hoping for - also seems to be many guys and couples Were some weird guys staying at the hostel that creeped me out, but funny to observe k The staff was awesome and very helpful with trips and where to go Private room was spacious, wish there was an AC -able to sleep without issue Beer on site Good place for larger groups with many areas to hang out
