Walking distance to a train station and the local bars. Neighbourhood felt safe. Friendly staff and great atmosphere, every night we were there all the common areas had plenty of people around. We were in a group of three that had a private room and a dorm bed and would recommend both.

It's a great location with lots of stuff to do within walking distance. It's very secure too. Beds are comfortable, but I'd recommend you opt for 12 bed dorm if you want lockers in your room. Smaller ones don't have lockers. My dorm had ensuite bathroom but it was broken. They didn't really clean the dorms too much and I often found people's stuff thrown around all over the floor.

We enjoyed our stay at the black sheep and would come again. We had a private room which was pretty much at hotel standard with space and nice white sheets. We didn’t find the layout was particularly helpful for making friends compared to other hostels as there isn’t a large open space/ bar. It’s also further from the main drag of poblado but very close to the metro!

    Very Good

Had been referred here by a few people who said it had a good atmosphere, was a bit disappointed as didn’t feel there was much going on in terms of social activities/ nightlife. Hostel could have organised something for Friday and Saturday nights. There was a big football game on during our stay and there was no word of this in hostel. Had an unfortunate crowd in room which isn’t the hostels fault but tainted our stay. The hostel staff were nice and it was clean
