Property Description

Bluesock Hostels Porto is located in Ribeira, the historical centre of Porto, on the banks of the Duero River and just steps from the city’s main attractions. From the hostel you can walk to Praça da Ribeira, Palácio da Bolsa, Alfandega Congress Centre and many other places you won’t want to miss. We are also surrounded by loads of restaurants, terraces, shops, cafés and wineries to lose yourself in.

A traditional blue-tiled building that blends into the heart of Ribeira. 3,000 square meters. A basement with spectacular arches, the ground floor and six additional floors. These are the dimensions we hope to fill with Bluesock experiences.
At our hostel in Porto it is still possible to experience the spirit of the city’s typical housing buildings. We’ve kept the stone, the wooden beams on the ceilings and the original architecture and structure of the building

Bluesock Hostels Porto is located on Rua Sao Joao, 40, just a 10-minute walk from São Bento station. And, although this is a city to discover on foot, we have public transport and the main roads on our doorstep.
The price of the breakfast is 4 € per person, breakfast in private rooms is included.

Quite possibly one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed. - having travelled a fair bit of the world incl. backpacking around Aus & NZ... hostel, I’d definitely come back to. Beautiful clean place, great location, amazingly helpful staff. Very happy to find place like this.

I agree with the comments about atmosphere. In terms of typical “hostel vibe” this place doesn’t have it, however, if you’re looking for a quiet hostel to relax and kick back for a few days you can’t pass this one up. Clean showers, clean beds, awesome privacy curtains, great location, kind staff, the list goes on. Thanks for the great stay.

Definitely one of the best hostel in the city. Good position. Nice at view. Need just to improve stuff at the bar. There was only one guy beside the counter. Hard to manage the guest's requests

This is a great hostel to stay in. The rooms were clean. Each bed had individual lights, charging point and shelf. The beds also had curtains and were wooden framed so no squeaky beds. The breakfast was good, a nice selection for an extra €4. I only stayed one night so can’t comment on the social aspect of it. The bathrooms were so clean for a hostel and only had to share bathroom with one other bunk room.

Great location, smart architectural design and adaptation of the old into modern minimalistic style. Lots of extra room for socializing, but tiny sleeping quarters. Beds are very comfortable with white fresh linens. Try to book a privet room for 4. Showers were a bit messy and allowed both men and women-not a good thing and minus safety! Bring your flip flops! Amazing breakfast serves fresh fruits, healthy plain yougurt, and the best flakiest croissants ever! Freshest local boiled eggs!

Very impersonal hostel, managed like a High capacity hotel and with rather unfriendly staff. You must pay extra for breakfast Good point on quality of beds, location and cleanliness Avoid the downbed if you dont want to be woken up by the heavy room doors
