Property Description

Bluesock Hostels Porto is located in Ribeira, the historical centre of Porto, on the banks of the Duero River and just steps from the city’s main attractions. From the hostel you can walk to Praça da Ribeira, Palácio da Bolsa, Alfandega Congress Centre and many other places you won’t want to miss. We are also surrounded by loads of restaurants, terraces, shops, cafés and wineries to lose yourself in.

A traditional blue-tiled building that blends into the heart of Ribeira. 3,000 square meters. A basement with spectacular arches, the ground floor and six additional floors. These are the dimensions we hope to fill with Bluesock experiences.
At our hostel in Porto it is still possible to experience the spirit of the city’s typical housing buildings. We’ve kept the stone, the wooden beams on the ceilings and the original architecture and structure of the building

Bluesock Hostels Porto is located on Rua Sao Joao, 40, just a 10-minute walk from São Bento station. And, although this is a city to discover on foot, we have public transport and the main roads on our doorstep.
The price of the breakfast is 4 € per person, breakfast in private rooms is included.

Clean, formal, awesome. Best hostel to stay at in Porto. Maybe not the best atmosphere but not bad at all. Facilities and logistics imitate any other actual hotel. Awesome.

It's my second time to be in Portugal, the hostels in this country are always great than you expect. Bluesock is one of the best, location perfect, staff perfect (special need to thank Francesca, you help us a lot, best staff ever) , decoration perfect... 100% recommend to stay here. Only maybe not perfect is the shower, you need to push the button all the time to get hot water, hard to enjoy the shower in this time. Anyway, we love the hostel, thanks again., 除了浴室需要按压出热水,导致不能享受洗澡时间外,几乎完美的旅舍,赞一个吧

The room was very cleaned and warmed. But around 1am I couldn’t sleep because of the sound from outside. The street cleaners threw away bins. In addition, I couldn’t get a breakfast well. There were some people who wanted the breakfast. But nothing in there and I asked to staff if you can refill some bread, ham and cheese. And then, she said okay. But in almost ten min, I could get it... But it also gone soon I think the breakfast was expensive than the quality.

The staff didn't involve guests, despite being advertised as 'good for solo travellers' so I hardly met anyone. Also the staff didn't speak English, despite it being advertised that they would. I was charged for them to hold my bags for 2 hours till I could get into my room which I've never experienced. Room key card constantly failed which became frustrating as I had to constantly trek up and down stairs for them to fix it. Big group of cleaners came in room at 9am and chatted obnoxiously loud.

This hostel was very clean, well equiped rooms and a good shower. I could have left the hostel with a better feeling if the staff had been nicer to me. Very unfriendly and unknowledgeable, young persons at the front desk. I definitely did not feel welcome and felt that any question was a question too much. Not really the hostel atmosphere and therefor not really easy to meet fellow travellers.

This hostel was definitely overrated, although relatively new it's not well designed and has minimal atmosphere. Ok if you just want somewhere to sleep but if you're backpacking I'd look elsewhere.
