General Group Booking Terms
By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.
- In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
- The booking deposit is non-refundable.
- Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
- Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
- Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
- It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
- Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.
Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions
The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card on arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.
The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Junior / Primary School, High / Secondary School If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."

Property Description
Over 30 years ago, Bob decided he wanted a hostel. A youth hostel that is, where young people from all over the world could sleep under the cleanest of sheets without having to pay too much!
Today, Bob's is still a cool place with nice people on a central location. Our 2 buildings are typically-old-Dutch & especially charming. This means that there are no elevators and that our stairs are Amsterdam-like steep. We offer the cheapest beer in town, good music and a free and relaxing atmosphere. Besides that we have a very friendly staff that will always be helpfull showing you the non-touristy, or if you like the touristy, places of Amsterdam.
Here are some details on Bob's dormitories:
- No curfew!
- Clean linen is included
- The reception is open from 08:00 AM until 03:00 AM.
- If you need to check out between 03:00AM and 08:00AM, please check out before 03:00AM. on your last night.
- Bar open from 8am to 3am with the cheapest beer in town!
- Free use of lockers to store your bags (deposit required for the key)
- Check-in starts at 2 PM / 14:00h. You can leave luggage in a luggage room before that time.
- Check-out between 08:00AM and 10:30 AM
- Free use of luggage room
- You can pay in cash or by card, if you pay by card we will ask for an extra 2% on top of the price to be paid.
Please note that:
- We have age restrictions; we can not accept people under 18 or above 30 years old.
- The 7% tourist tax has to be payed upon arrival.
- If your booking exceeds 1000 euros we will ask you to transfer the money in advance.
- If your booking exceeds 8 persons we will ask you to pay together, not seperate.
- In the weekend we have a minimum-stay for reservations of 2 nights. View House Rules
Overview
For more than 30 years, Bob's Youth Hostel has been a cool Amsterdam spot for international travellers – and they've covered our walls in art to say thanks! We're spread over two traditional Dutch-style buildings, and the living-room-style lobby is the place to mingle over a board game or guitar jam. Or check out our bar for some of the cheapest beers in town. When you're hungry head to our café, and we'll cook you up some tasty snacks.
Location
Find us in the De Wallen district of the city, a 10-minute walk from the Amsterdam Centraal train station. Heavy bags? Jump on tram lines 2, 11,12, 13 or 17 for 3 minutes to Nieuwezijds Kolk. To reach the station from Schiphol airport, take the Sprinter for two stops (17 minutes) or the Intercity direct, which will have you there in 15. Both the famous Red Light District and the Anne Frank House are a 10-minute walk from the hostel. Head a little further out to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, a 25-minute scenic stroll away.
Rooms and Dorms
Here, it's all about being sociable in the mixed dorms with bunks – there are plenty of people to meet. We also have a female-only dorm. Many have private en-suites with hot showers and sinks, while toilets are just down the hall. Backpack too compact to squeeze in linen? Our beds are made up with free fresh sheets and you can hire soft towels from reception.
Extras and activities
Before you head out along the canals, pick up one of the free city maps from our front desk. Stash your stuff in our free lockers (we take a small deposit for the key). When you get back, to rest up tired feet, make yourself at home on a sofa in the common room after a day of sightseeing. Get yourself a free coffee and flick through your photos from the day or use our free Wi-Fi to update your location status.

Amazing hostel. I only stayed for a night but everyone at the hostel and even the people staying there where very helpful and friendly. Beds where great for the price as well as location. Eight minutes walk to the central station and five to Dam Square. -

The website is not in anyway related to the hostels/accommodation they provide. The accommodation people says they are not related to the website you book from. Cancellation policies are confusing since both accommodation and the website sends you two different policies. They both are not even connected to each other (no single point of contact for customers), which makes the customer confusing. Not very flexible for customers to manage your bookings. -

Our mistake was not reading the reviews before booking. The price is doable and the location is great, after my stay in the hostel I still have to agree that the location is great but I would have preferred paying a bit more for a more comfortable stay. Upon check in the staff was super stoned, the facilities aren't great, no tissues to dry your hands or face and the cleanliness was horrendous , bed bugs, my friend is covered in bites! Blood stains in the bed sheets dusty and very noisy! Poor!
