The staff is awesome! Murphy is really friendly and very personable. I like the location and the guests were all very nice. The property seems to attract nice people. So much more interesting than staying in a hotel. This is my third stay. I will return many times!

My first hostel stay. I think it may have spoiled me for all other hostels. If I come back to Asheville, I will definitely be staying here again.

Very cool place, located in an area I'm not familiar with. Was very nice getting to explore a new town while getting to meet some nice people along the way. Staff was very nice from the time of arrival. Would highly recommend!

Funky place with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Pretty small, but that means you get to know everyone. People who work there are friendly and informative and it's in a cool part of town, though is aways from downtown proper.

This was a great place to stay for a night in town. Although it's not directly downtown Asheville, West Asheville is a cute little town with plenty to do. I thought the rooms were nice, the beds were a bit uncomfortable and there was not enough restroom space for all the people staying there. I would most definitely stay here again though.

This hostel was alright! Nothing stands out regarding this hostel, good or bad. Not major complaints but unfortunately Asheville is a smaller city that doesn't attract high volumes of traffic, so I actually didn't have a single conversation over half a minute during my stay.

The location, the price and the comfort of the bed were great. Security was good, except some of the guests were skethcy and obviously homeless people. The woman who checked me in was downright surly, and another guest tried to redirect her, but she was having none of it--absolutley hostile. The bathroom was disgusting. I did not take a shower there and I am not picky. The kitchen was gross, too. I did not even make coffee there. I won't be back barring an emergency.
