Property Description

From now, all of our accommodation have heating (inclusive or optional).

Our campground & hostel is ideally located on the verge of Amsterdam, only about 30 minutes from the fantastic city center. It’s a beautiful location for a city campground, in the middle of the vivid heart of Holland. Yet this is a quiet, peaceful forest where you can relax or enjoy nature by having a nice walk around or doing some swimming, biking or canoeing.

Our hiker’s cabins are basic, small wooden houses, suitable for two, four or five persons. They are equipped with either two singles (the two-person cabins) or two bunk beds (the four-person cabins). The five-person cabins have two bunk beds and one single bed. Besides that, the cabins are fitted out with a table and chairs and one electric socket (two ampere). Heating is optional.

Our camping chalets are well isolated chalets with four bunk beds, so they’re suitable for a maximum of eight persons. There’s also cupboards, a table and chairs. There is one electric socket (two ampere) and heating is also possible (optional).

Our very new Chalets Florida (from November 2011) are the stars of our campsite. These are chalets, suitable for four-to-six people, and come complete with kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms (two with two bunk beds and one with two single beds). These non-smoking chalets have central heating. Your home away from home!

At the campsite you will find free parking, bed linen and towels for rent plus free maps and guides.

Also in our beautiful green grounds you will find a big kitchen; please note there is no fridge. You can buy your ingredients at our minimarket!

The huge common room is open 24/7, where you can chill out and meet your fellow travellers or surf the web with your laptop/phone and our free Wi-Fi (there is a WiFi hotspot at the common kitchen/dining room/meeting point)

All of our sanitary buildings are new and heated and we also have washing/drying machines available. The hot showers work with tokens that you can buy at reception.

Our accommodation are supplied with free pillows and blankets; bed linen/towels can be rented or bring your own.

Our campsite is easily reached by public transport with the metro (15 minutes’ walk away) and the bus. There’s also a night bus every night!!

Please note that pets are not allowed in the accommodation. Please read our Things to Note below before booking.

For bookings with arrival and departure between 1st of December 2017 and 1st March 2018, heating is free! View House Rules

The reception closes too early and we could get the air conditioner so it was a really cold night.

It's important to check the reception opening hours! If you from Central-East Europe, and you think, that having a shower is a basic service, you will wonder. The bunnies everywhere are funny.

    Good

It's good for summer. I did read the reviews and prepared well with own blankets and basic necessities, which this place did not offer directly. Still, it was quite cold in the evening and arrival after Reception hours a challenge. As we arrive after reception hours, we were not able to order Heating, shower coins. The kitchen and dining place is horrible and needs urgent improvement. The rates seem lower than other Accommodation option but still felt overpriced based on services.

One of the guys at the reception isn't friendly at all. He always talks to you as if you have to pay back his loan.

Reception closes early, if you arrive late you'll find a note on the reception telling your accomodation and you'll find it open and with the key. But you won't be able to contact anyone to hire (you have to pay it apart) the heating...and normally when it's 6-8degree you need heating! Mattresses are made of plastic, they're too noisy and unconfortable. Toilets are medium clean but without paper. The worst is the common kitchen: couldn't be more dirty, we have to look for a mcdonald at night...

The Hostel is very far from the City center with out the Holland pass you will have to spend a lot on transportation. There are no frequent busses or trams. There is only one bus and it's 199. We had to travel to the airport everytime we had to catch a Bus or tram to the city center. The costs maybe less but a lot of hassle. Please reconsider before booking here.

Wifi did not reach cabin. No toilet paper, no sheets for the bed. No place to lock valuables while out or sleeping. Was quiet, relaxing area though.

Staff really let this place down, they just care about your money so no real ‘customer care’ very sad as even though is a mission away from the city it has got it perks of being in a forest but that’s about as far as it goes.

    1. Dirty beds, pillows, mattresses and blankets. I wonder they were never changed and washed. 2. Except the above, everthing has extra charge (much higher than normal price): clean sheets, room heating, toilet rolls etc. 3. Rude staff. They knocked the door heavly and woke me up to take my passport away. They charge 5% for card payment and don't allow me to withdraw cash and come back in 20 minutes.
