Property Description

From now, all of our accommodation have heating (inclusive or optional).

Our campground & hostel is ideally located on the verge of Amsterdam, only about 30 minutes from the fantastic city center. It’s a beautiful location for a city campground, in the middle of the vivid heart of Holland. Yet this is a quiet, peaceful forest where you can relax or enjoy nature by having a nice walk around or doing some swimming, biking or canoeing.

Our hiker’s cabins are basic, small wooden houses, suitable for two, four or five persons. They are equipped with either two singles (the two-person cabins) or two bunk beds (the four-person cabins). The five-person cabins have two bunk beds and one single bed. Besides that, the cabins are fitted out with a table and chairs and one electric socket (two ampere). Heating is optional.

Our camping chalets are well isolated chalets with four bunk beds, so they’re suitable for a maximum of eight persons. There’s also cupboards, a table and chairs. There is one electric socket (two ampere) and heating is also possible (optional).

Our very new Chalets Florida (from November 2011) are the stars of our campsite. These are chalets, suitable for four-to-six people, and come complete with kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms (two with two bunk beds and one with two single beds). These non-smoking chalets have central heating. Your home away from home!

At the campsite you will find free parking, bed linen and towels for rent plus free maps and guides.

All of our sanitary buildings are new and heated and we also have washing/drying machines available. The hot showers work with tokens that you can buy at reception.

Our accommodation are supplied with free pillows and blankets; bed linen/towels can be rented or bring your own.

Our campsite is easily reached by public transport with the metro (15 minutes’ walk away) and the bus. There’s also a night bus every night!!

Please note that pets are not allowed in the accommodation. Please read our Things to Note below before booking.

For bookings with arrival and departure between 1st of December and 1st March, heating is free! View House Rules

We would definitely stay here again. We were surprised to find that there was no toilet paper in the toilets.

We stayed at this camping site for two nights. We booked a private chalet for 6 people. It was super comfortable, equipped with adequate heating and had all sorts of essentials (small kitchenette with utensils). Our overall stay at this residence was great! However, accessibility is not good. After 12:00 a.m there is only one bus route which drops you off at a station which is 22 minutes away. So we literally had to walk 22 minutes everyday to get to our residence at night time!

You guys should give more information about the bus companies, like GVB; because to take the bus 199, for example, I needed to pay it again.

In general the price is good, but it doesn't include sheets, heating, towels, toilet paper and soap. Also you have to pay for shower - so if you count everything together is not that cheap anymore. The biggest problem was cleanliness, since it was dirty around beds, the flor had big stains of whatever guests before us spilled. There was dust all over the place and big stains on the table. At night there were rats everywhere around the hauses. But if you are adventurist you will be fine.

Dreadful place. On top of the €125 you spend on the pathetically equipped cabins you also have to spend €7 each on bedsheets + a charge for showers. If you are unfortunate enough to arrive after 11pm you will have no choice but to sleep on the awful mattresses which have plastic covers and wooly blankets. They do not think to open the windows before you arrive so the cabin will be 40°c + if it has been hot. There are no mosquito guards on the windows so the choice is either boil/ or get eaten.

In my life I have never stayed in such a bad hotel. In a cold weather in Netherlands , the heater is optional . If you dont choose it before choosing the hotel , you have to die in cold at night .There is no one to help after 3 pm . The place was so cold and heater was not working . No towels were provided , you have to pay extra money for everything . A drop of water , towel , toilet paper everything. The stuff was so rude and not well behaved . The worst hotel experience I have ever faced .

We stayed at this place for 2 days. Under the impression that we were getting a 6 man private chalet with a bathroom and a kitchen. Little to our knowledge when we arrive we received a 8 man cabin which was nothing like what we booked. Staff were rude and unhelpful when we asked to change to a different accommodation as it wasn’t their problem. Extras such as bedding, towels, heating and showers costed extra. Shared kitchen was dirty, human feces were in one of sinks. Do not recommend at all!!
