Property Description

From now, all of our accommodation have heating (inclusive or optional).

Our campground & hostel is ideally located on the verge of Amsterdam, only about 30 minutes from the fantastic city center. It’s a beautiful location for a city campground, in the middle of the vivid heart of Holland. Yet this is a quiet, peaceful forest where you can relax or enjoy nature by having a nice walk around or doing some swimming, biking or canoeing.

Our hiker’s cabins are basic, small wooden houses, suitable for two, four or five persons. They are equipped with either two singles (the two-person cabins) or two bunk beds (the four-person cabins). The five-person cabins have two bunk beds and one single bed. Besides that, the cabins are fitted out with a table and chairs and one electric socket (two ampere). Heating is optional.

Our camping chalets are well isolated chalets with four bunk beds, so they’re suitable for a maximum of eight persons. There’s also cupboards, a table and chairs. There is one electric socket (two ampere) and heating is also possible (optional).

Our very new Chalets Florida (from November 2011) are the stars of our campsite. These are chalets, suitable for four-to-six people, and come complete with kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms (two with two bunk beds and one with two single beds). These non-smoking chalets have central heating. Your home away from home!

At the campsite you will find free parking, bed linen and towels for rent plus free maps and guides.

All of our sanitary buildings are new and heated and we also have washing/drying machines available. The hot showers work with tokens that you can buy at reception.

Our accommodation are supplied with free pillows and blankets; bed linen/towels can be rented or bring your own.

Our campsite is easily reached by public transport with the metro (15 minutes’ walk away) and the bus. There’s also a night bus every night!!

Please note that pets are not allowed in the accommodation. Please read our Things to Note below before booking.

For bookings with arrival and departure between 1st of December and 1st March, heating is free! View House Rules

    Fabulous

The rooms are very tidy and organised. The bathrooms are clean. The communal kitchen and dining area is adequate. The people are very friendly and the atmosphere of the place is great. There are some beautiful walks around the camp grounds. The location is far out of city center and is about an hour away by public transport. The camp is very close to the airport and is ideal for a one night stopover.

Nice value for money, be aware that you need to bring your own bedsheets and toilet paper etc because there isn't much provided! Nice area in the forest though with lots of lovely little bunnies hopping around at night!

For the presented/advertised price with parking included, this is a great deal for the location. You are very close to public transportation and it takes maybe 20/25min to get to city center. However, legit everything at this hostel is an additional fee: toilet paper, shower, even sheets for the bed for two people is nearly 40 euro with the deposit fees. If you want heat in your cabin, that's also an addition fee plus deposit, but these additional fees were not/are not advertised.

The facilities were not great, the kitchen was very dirty and appliances didn’t work very well. You had to pay for showers but they barely worked and the water was cold. We found the room we stayed in smelled funny and some comments made by a male member of staff inappropriate/sexist. Also, when I booked the room, there was info on the website saying we could reach Amsterdam centre quickly on one bus. However we had to get 2 buses and pay 12€.

The rooms are dirty, the showers are dirty... There were no clean sheets when we arrived to sleep. It says it's close to Amsterdam but it takes more than an hour in public transportation + walk (and it's expensive) and about 45 minutes in bike. The manager is very rude with the customers. Nothing positive about this experience

Too expensive for what they offer. I've arrived at midnight and there was nobody in the reception (they're closed during the night). There were guests sleeping in front of the lobby, because they had no keys. The room has no sheets, there's no bathroom in the room, you have to walk to another building and also pay 1Euro to have a 6 minute shower.

I REALLY hate the management team and owner. Owner's attitude was so TERRIBLE. AND THERE IS NO METRO train to the city. THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU on their website. Metro is closed since 2 years as mentioned by owner. That meant we MUST take bus to airport, (EXPENSIVE) then take train to the city. . I love the atmosphere, the wild bunnies everywhere but not the owner. WIFI is good or bad depending on which network you click on. My wife and I almost decided to leave but many hostels full!

If you want an accurate idea of how terrible this place is look on trip advisor. I arrived for a late check in and was greeted by the biggest rat I've ever seen. You have to pay an extra €6 for heating. (late check on means you don't get told this till the morning and the nights are cold) You have to pay €7.5 euro to rent a towell €11.5 to rent bedding. €0.5 for toilet paper. €20 deposit on the key (early checkout means you lose this) It's miles from Amsterdam, the transport links are a joke
