Great for the price you pay. All the commodities are clean. Towel and toiletries are provided daily. Shower was clean with great water pressure and well functioning hot water. Room was warm and nice with a wall-locker provided. Staff were friendly, especially Nico was very personable and helpful. They have a storage where you can put your stuff. Overall, very satisfied with the service provided with such an affordable price.

This place is a was a very nice surprise, excellen staff, location and facilities. Breakfast could be better but is fair all things considered. In the heart of a city like Boston, a clean hospitable and friendly place like this is a jewel.

It was a good place especially nearby to the most attractive spots in the city. The only thing is that it’s security is not as tight as I overheard people coming in at the back door even though there was a 24h camera surveillance. Nevertheless, it was the best for it’s price and totally recommended.

I really like this spot but the security is very lax meaning there isn’t any. You can come and go as you please which isn’t bad but when the night time staff took lunch, there was literally no one at the front desk. I had to get in contact with the night mgmt by phone so he can call the night time front desk staff good come to me. The staff was super nice. The breakfast is very simple like white toast, butter + jelly, oatmeal packets and access to water, coffee or tea. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it just fine! My shared room and the communal bathrooms were clean and well-kept. The heating in my room was not overwhelming at all and I slept comfortably. I think some other reviewers might have expected more ambience – this is definitely a bare-bones, dorm-style hostel, but served my purposes perfectly. Great value for the price & perfect for student travels. Staff was also very friendly! Tip: The non-first floor bathrooms seem to be better-maintained.

Great on-site customer service, very clean, respectful roomies, kitchen is lame w/just a microwave and no cooking gear of any kind, also breakfast wasn’t served till 8am- after I left. But still a great value.

Listen to the reviews.. I did not and ended up a little salty. If you can afford to shell out a few extra $ for a different hostel in the Boston area do it. It wasn’t a ‘bad ‘ hostel per-say, or a negative experience but it wasn’t great. Things to note: 1. This is not a ‘social’ hostel. 2. They don’t provide maps or brochures on the area. 3. My mixed dorm was SUPER noisy. Window didn’t shut all the way & furnace(?) was extremely loud. 4. Parts of the building smelled bad... 5. No actual Kitchen.

The room was 85 degrees, even with the window open. The historic nature of the building means that the boiler is in the basement and and there is no individual room temp adjustment. An employee next morning said that they would get a box fan into the room for us, as all three of us strangers didn't sleep due to heat. The box fan never arrived and when I asked the next shift person about it, he said 'I don't know anything about a box fan.' and went on his way. Vomit in bathroom. Free coffee.
