This is the place to stay in Belfast. I'll admit that I am biased towards the genuinely awesome staff. I found Erika (the boss) to be an intriguing blend of quietly inspiring & easy to converse with (regarding a plethora of topics). I challenge you to ask her literally anything. Bet you'll learn something! Also, I will never forget the rejuvenation she provided me via alt ice cream. Isaure is an absolute delight to be around and definitely deserves chocolate. She spoke to me right away as if

LGBTQ (transgender specifically) friendly! They do have a policy where they ask for your legal documents to show Female, if you choose the all-Female dorm, but I stayed in the mixed dorm and didn’t have any troubles. The staff is extremely helpful and social which helps make it feel like home. Erika is a dream host and was born to run this perfect little hostel. Pro tip: I WISH I HAD SPENT MORE THAN A DAY HERE / IN BELFAST. It’s a magical town and this hostel makes it a perfect town to visit.

Great place to stay, very relaxing and friendly. Beds very comfortable and clean staff were very friendly and very helpful I would highly recommend to any traveller looking for a hostel in Belfast. I have actually stayed in more expensive accommodation which would not be on a par with botanical backpackers. 4.5 stars in my book.

Erika is the best host! She knows a lot about Belfast's and N. I. history and taught me a lot! She was extremely helpful and dedicated, made sure I had Gluten free breakfast, researched bused and tours for me. She also waited to check me in late as my flight was delayed. The hostel was clean, well organized, full of beautiful plants and a short walk from city center.

One of my favourite hostels! I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Belfast. It has a great atmosphere, I felt right at home from the minute I walked in. I ended up extending my stay because I didn't want to leave. Erika is a wonderful and friendly host. She was also able to answer every question I had about getting around / things to do in Northern Ireland. A shoutout to Isaure for being an awesome 2IC and always being up for going out after her shift.

No early check in available. There is no safety locker to put your belongings. The rooms are ridiculosly small and you can barely move inside them. There are only 2 toilets for everyone. The breakfast is only cereals and instant coffee. The staff open our room window and when we came back at nightime even the bed linen was freezing. Heating doesnt work at night time.
