Great hostel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The private room was very small.

This hostel is fantastic. It is located 3 minutes walking from the city centre and the atmosphere is very good. There is a pub with live music downstairs which is also well known amongst the locals (perfect if you want to meet nice Irish folks and escape the backpaker's life for one night). Breakfast is very good. I will definitely stay again!

The one fear I had was the parking of my car, but I found that along the road a little I could park till 8.30am. Also I really appreciated being able to watch the Ashes cricket for an hour or so when I know that cricket is not big in Cork.

Very nice, only cheap 4 bed hostel I've been to. Light and sockets for every bed. There are pricey luggage lockers, but you also have cages under the beds so it doesn't affect my rating (even tho I had to carry 30 kg of luggage to the second floor). There are very few people in the common room so if you like peace- great, if you like hostel atmosphere and meeting new people-not so much. Breakfast is basic, WiFi is unusable during night as you share it with the bar full of people.

Professionally run like a hotel. Very clean. Decent location. Basic free breakfast. Was only there for 1 night. Didn’t feel very sociable.

The atmosphere and people here make the place. Facilities were clean and well kept. Beds were firm but pillows were really flat. Other than that it was great!

    Very Good

It is centrally located near the few restaurants that are in cork and it is very nice to have a bar one floor down with discounted drinks. However every common area you enter you are hit with the stench of old smoke. The kitchen, common area and the bar smell very bad. Other than this the hostel is great with lots of very cool people.

    Very Good

The rooms were surprisingly really clean but the rest of the place smelled like smoke all the time. It was hot in the rooms but with the windows open it was crazy loud. The 3 person room was the size of a walk in closet. Safe and clean enough for a night or two but I would never stay here again if given the choice.

I didn’t like this hostel for several reasons: 1. The dorm rooms are very small. They feel cramped and a bit stuffy. 2. Many of the lockers beneath the beds are broken and cannot be locked. They also require a larger lock than normal. 3. Depending on your room location, it can be noisy. 4. I didn’t care to walk through a crowded bar, often filled with smokers in the front to access the hostel.

The first night there was a fight in the hostel, people coming in and out REALLY drunk and I don’t think I slept for more than 3 hours between the awakenings and being scared. There was also a ball of fluff in my bed ? The room, even for 4 was small. That being said - staff were nice, good location and the kitchen seemed solid.
