    Very Good

Pros: GREAT staff, clean, nice breakfast, good dive bar next door Cons: Location is at the end of Vancouver's skid row, so just plan to cab everywhere or walk around those few blocks; we were assured by many cab drivers that the area was, nonetheless, safe. We never felt threatened in any way. Hotel is older, but I found it charming. Be ready for very small rooms and, if you got one with a bathroom en suite, it's going to be small. Overall, a great deal for the money. We'd go back.

The rooms are small and there are a lot of homeless people and drug addicts in the area but at least the breakfast is included :)

The area is a bit questionable. You definitely don't want to walk down Hastings St. to get to Gastown or anywhere, but if you walk through Chinatown, it feels a lot safer. The hotel itself is fine. Very basic, no A/C, but overall it was good for how cheap it was. Not a good place to stay if you're easily worried about an iffy neighborhood. If you just need a place to sleep for a night or two, it's fine.

If you’re visiting Vancouver for the first time and don’t really know what the area is like I would not recommend staying here, although the hotel was fine the location was in the sketchy side of town, I was so scared to walk outside, especially at dark.

Did not realize the location was an area called “tent city” always felt unsafe. Property had an elevator that didn’t work properly but they still let people ride. For Vancouver it was a cheap price to stay but would never stay here again.

We went to one room, there was blood all over the bathroom door so we had to move to a different room with mold in the showers. our friends went into a room that was unclean, and missing a portion of the window. When they switched to their new room, it flooded at 2am. Never again.

the location was sketchy, hotel itself was lacking a welcoming atmosphere including the staff. the room was tiny and the walls were dirty,as well as the carpet. it gave my fiance and I a not so clean vibe altogether. not worth the money we paid, will not be going back.

Sketchy location that could have been improved with better facilities (have at least a working coffee machine or free coffee in each room). Smelly hallway corridors and finicky showers. Good value for money but honestly expected basic things like coffee and air-conditoning to be provided as even hostels have both.
