The best hostel ive stayed in so far on my east coast trip! The staff couldnt do enough to help you answering all my questions and suggesting things to do. The evening entertainment (bingo, quiz and coconut bowling) where a great way to meet new people and have a laugh! Our group won 2 jugs of beer on the bingo. The kitchen is well equipt and the rooms really clean and comfortable. Close to many beaches and the forts walk where you can see wild koalas!

Out of all of my travels abroad for the past year, this was my favorite hostel. I'm a solo female traveler and would recommend it to others. The only complaint I have is that it is far from many things on the island. However, most of the island is spread out and I don't think there would be an ideal location regardless.

Great hostel in the perfect location (short walk to Horseshoe Bay and bus stop just outside). Nice pool area, chill spaces and sociable bar area. Shower/toilet block was clean and showers were great. The only small criticism is that there was lots of renovation work going on just outside our hut meaning noise from around 7:30am and our view was mounds of dirt and diggers. Didn’t bother us too much as we were up early and out all day anyway but would have been courteous to let us know on booking

Stayed in double private - the bungalow was nice and clean and even had a mini fridge :) bar was a nice place to hangout at, and it was also the only area you could get wifi in (unless you wanted to pay). Close walk to the beach and bus stop. It’s a campground so the bathrooms weren’t the cleanest and often had lots of bugs in them. Didn’t do the koala walk, but there was one in the tree right beside our bungalow when we got there!

Good place to chill and sleep peacefully. Yet, still met some friendly backpackers and had a few pints in the evening. I did not do the koala tours as it’s a waste of money - you can spot them on the fort walk. The staff was helpful as they found the pair of sunnys I lost so thanks a lot.

I stayed in an ensuite, beds were comfy, shower was AMAZING, and room was clean. It was very cliquey here and most of the visitors weren't speaking english, making it awkward during hostel events. The hostel has wifi in the front area, but you only get 500 MB and once you use that up it remembers your IP address. I was only there for two nights so it was fine, but if you're there longer I'm not sure if that would be good enough. Also need to give a $5 deposit for dishes???

After 1 night, we had to move due to an issue with the shower (these things happen). However the dorm we moved to smelled of mould/damp. Credit to the staff they bleached the place & did their best. We had a busy day planned so we didn't want to move again. Then on the day we were checking out the water was cut off from our room with no warning. So when you are trying to get the most of your time here there were a number of setbacks. That said location is stunning & the staff did their best.

    Very Good

Fine place. Location was perfect and enjoyed the calm environment. I did not enjoy having zero WiFi connection excluding the common area. made confirming future plans hard. In addition having a “mix” dorm would have been nice. I was alone with four grown men and as a female traveling alone it’s not the most comfortable situation. Apart from that staff were nice and helpful.
