Was a great place to stay the night we went to a concert at Rogers arena. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, clean room. If you enjoy a hot shower you'll be waiting a long time for the water to warm up but that's it. In Vancouver during the summer, you absolutely can't beat the price for a clean bed, good food and beer. Love the Cambie.

Fun, busy hostel in great location. It’s above the bar so it is VERY loud at night - but they do provide free ear plugs. The security of it made me at ease, however I did have to go purchase my own lock for my locker as they were sold out.

Great location and the kitchen facilities were great! The showers were a bit sad and dribbly, but something you can live with. What I couldn’t stand however is the sound of the music coming from downstairs right until 3am! Even earplugs don’t help as the bass reverberates through your body! One night I didn’t get ANY sleep at all.

Rustic, well-worn building with creaky floors, chipping paint, and a resident house cat named Oreo, who may or may not sleep in your room. Young, lively and (likely) drunk guests from all over the world. Weekly beer pong tournaments on Saturday nights. Attached to/directly above a dive bar/dance club that blasts modern and retro tunes until 3am. The room was warm and stuff during the day, but cooled down nicely at night. The location can't be beat for a hostel downtown. 10/10, would recommend

You get what you pay for. It was the cheapest accommodation I could find. The pros: - good location - cheap - they have lockers - the Cambie bar Cons: - the smell. I stayed on the first floor and while I do like cats, it just really smelled bad. I think that’s what turned me off the most from it - felt there could have been more showers and toilets

Look, if you want a bed after partying this hostel is good for you. Other than that don't waste your money. I would not recommend solo travellers for this location, there are junkies everywhere on the street. The hostel is run down and closing down anyway. It smells like urine and nails are coming out of the floor boards. I love hostels and don't usually judge, but this one isn't one I would recommend. It's a no go guys.
