Great little hostel in the best location ever. Easy to find from the waterfront station. Stay one night before heading to Whistler but heading back for two more days at this place at the end of the trip! They also have a pet cat!

It was my first time staying in a hostel. Overall it has been an excellent experience. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities , while basic, were more than adaquote. I would certainly looked into staying at Cambrie - Gastown again should I find myself in Vancouver in the future.

Good hostel for a short stay right in downtown Vancouver. The bar downstairs is lots of fun but the downside is the music is loud and can be heard from the rooms. Staff was friendly and the hostel cat Oreo was a bonus!

This was a decent hostel for a really good price. I love that the hostel has a cat. My only issues were that the door to the hostel is not as easy to find as the door to the pub is. And that the noise from the pub was loud and clearly heard in the rooms.

Loud!!! The music and bass from the bar can be herd in the first floor rooms. You will feel your bed shaking until 2am. Showers aren't great, the space to change is not private, it's basically squeezed between the toilet stall door and the shower door. There are a few hooks to hang clothes but it would be usefull to have a little shelf. Otherwise kitchen looked very practical and the location was great! I would try a dif hostel next time because of the noise.

I booked online for 35$. I got charged 70$ at the Hostel. When I saw them the e-mail, they had no clue about the pricing and they charged me twice the amount. No coordination between hostel and the website. After, reaching there, you clearly don't have many options left. I will not recommend anyone to go to the hostel Cambie and book on the website.

Washrooms were dirty. Human feces were on the floor of the women's washroom upon arrival until the next morning. The overall vibe of the hostel was great but I might as well spent money on a hotel.

You pay for what you get. If you want to sleep ask for a room on the second floor. Very old building with a bar on the first floor. Only cool thing was the cat.
