I had an amazing time at Camino Art House, meeting so many beautiful and talented artists getting prepared for the art festival taking place in two weeks time. The host Bea was very welcoming and helpful, she offered an airport shuttle were I was picked up and chatted to me, and wentnto get food before arriving at the hostel. Each night we played music in collaboration with otheracreative people, day time viewingartists working, go into the local town San Mateo and buy delicious, local produce.

For me it was exactly the right place at the right time and I enjoyed it a lot. The garden is amazing to discover and the cats are so cute. The atmosphere is great and the volunteers are beautiful people with a big heart making it a great stay for me. For me the only downside was that there’s only one bathroom. It still works but it’s not always comfortable.

Definitely not for everyone. But if it's for you, you'll absolutely love it. The facilities are simple and it can even get a tiny bit cold in winter (it's in the mountains, where it's slightly colder than Las Palmas). But if you can live without the luxuries of a hotel and you're a social person, you'll enjoy an atmosphere like no other. Here you might meet people - both volunteers and travelers - that will make your trip to the Canary Islands an unforgettable experience.

When you first arrive, you may have doubts but the view is amazing and the volunteers so charming that you’ll love it. There are caves you can stay in! When we went they didn’t have electricity and cooking with gas and candlelight was actually really fun. Perfect for a short stay, Take warm clothes for the eve. They have guitars and chess and donation-based dinner and breakfast. 👍

It’s not an art hostel (like how it advertised) - lack of authenticity. Personally, I felt it’s kinda fake. I wish the volunteers working there would receive better benefits. Overall, it’s a peculiar place to visit.

Great vibe and good food to eat and chat with fellow travellers. However was full when I was there so the one bathroom was always occupied and outside smelled of cat/dog faeces. So hard to enjoy view with food and drink. Also hard to do yoga on roof as yoga mats are disgusting and roof is full with tents and washing and the roof floor not clean. I had a great 3 days but lack of leadership/management means this play is way below its potential, No breakfast on my 3rd day due to lazy staff member

Erm, it had a power cut so I couldn't review based on a different experience. The location is stunning, incredible to disconnect. However I couldn't stay there as it just felt cold dark and damp without power....I did enjoy a lovely walk in the grounds though....

Good Idea of the Hostel but it is dirty everywhere and moldy on the walls in the sleeping room. A lot of mold!
