Lovely small hostel in a beautiful building. Staff were very welcoming and explained everything well - felt like a safe environment. Everything in the hostel is labelled/marked so you know where things are. Breakfast in the morning consisted of toast and cereal. Washing machine available and many places to dry clothes. Close to one of the main bus stations which is a positive. Little bit of a walk down to the main area of Porto which is very steep with many steps - I liked this however.

    Very Good

The hostel is well located and wonderfully decorated and refurbished. Bed in the female dorm is very comfortable. There was only one bathroom (together shower and toilet) on our floor shared with more than 12 people. There is another bathroom in the ground floor. Kitchen is also very well made. Wifi isn't working, which drives crazy. The staff is obviously just working there, being very reserved. Their English is very difficult to understand and at the moment I wasn't sure if they understood me.

Not a really special hostel, good just if you want to be close to the bus station and have a place to sleep.

We got a private room with a shared bathroom. It was on the last floor and there are no lifts. It doesn’t seem like a big deal but after a long day in Porto, a few extra flights of stairs are not welcome. And the shared bathroom has an awful system where you have to lock access for the other room in order to use it without them accessing it. As it obviously turned out, the other group had forgotten to unlock it after using it and we couldn’t use the toilet before having them unlocking the door.

This hostel is not too bad, but not too good either. First of all, breakfast is just bread, butter, coffee and milk. No cheese, no ham, no fruits, no chocolate, no juice ... It's like a cafe in the waiting room. All employees are volunteers who exchange work for a bed and a meal. Therefore, they are not interested in making things as good as possible. The things around you are not creative or original. All things are false without energy. Just set up to make money. I did not feel well.
