There aren't too many options in Tarija, but that being said, this is one of my favorite hostels in South America. It's a little on the expensive side (probably because there really aren't other options), but it's worth it. The location is great, and I can't say enough to the benefit of the staff. They were so helpful and so attentive and so willing to answer questions or just chat. It's not a huge hostel, but because of the size and the set up, you meet everyone there. Great vibes.

Nice place to stay. The staff are really lovely and get to know you by your name and will chat to you whenever you are there. Not all of them speak English but they will happily take their time with Spanish and even help you to practice. Breakfast is good and is good value. Wish I had eaten it on my first morning too.

We stayed at Casa Blanca for two nights and we enjoyed it. The hostel is small, which gives it a nice feeling and beautifully painted. The staff were very helpful. The location was great, just some blocks aways from the main square. The breakfast though was quite poor and since there was a door bell to enter the hostel, if you came early or late at night it could take a while for the staff to wake up and open, which woke the guests up. Apart from this we were content and would recommend the host

I was told that Tarija is a beautiful place to stay. But really nothing to see. Boring place. There are other places far better like Potosi or Sucre.

The hostel is on a nice, quiet street, close to the main plaza. You can use the kitchen when you are there. The bedrooms are off a main courtyard so can be noisy if people are up late drinking.
