Great little hostel. Close to the centre of town and a good wifi park. And Aircon (you WILL need this in Cuba). Pedro the owner is not onsite, but he is a lovely fellow who is very helpful and regularly visits the hostel to check that everything is ok. Stay here. Worth it !!

Pedro is such a pleasant helpful host. He spent ages trying to recommend places and plan my trip with me. Would definitely recommend his place which is a nice little apartment, quite central.

I stay with Mr Pedro's family in another house located at Sueno, which is exactly located in the middle to access all part of attractions : about 20 mins walk to old city, 10 mins to Cuartel Moncada, 20 to 30 mins to Plaza of Revolution, about 30 mins to Vista Alegre. I recommend to take a motor cycle about CUC 1 to Cementerio. Mr Pedro also provide service to Castillo del Morro with reasonable price and not far from casa a good restaurant and very good price. Highly recommend to stay here

Pedro has two accomodations. One in the center of Santiago and the other a little bit outside (but still within walking distance into town center). By phone you can get to Pedro 24h a day. He also offers tours trough Santiago and will give you tips, what to do and where. But you dont have to take these tours, it is up to you. We went to El Morro with him and it was a good decision. And not to forget: he speaks english fluently which is really helpful for people with poor spanish skills (like me)

Pedro is a really nice guy, easy to talk to and he tells the reality of Cuba. The place is good enough and one of the few hostels in Cuba.

The casa owner was never in making asking questions more difficult but the neighbours were very friendly. The hostel was in a food location and seemed a good spot for solo travellers and was all I needed for my one night in Santiago

There was no one to open the door for me when i got there. When I went to the place it said on the door there was a man with no English and no way to call the actual owner. There was no water in the casa. My first night I was stuck in a room with no AC, there was no food, no bedsite lights. It's was clean though!
