Property Description

What a view from the worlds largest hammock, a place to sit back with a cold beverage or fresh fruit juice and chat among new friends.

Hang out with toucans during the day and wake up to the sound of howler monkeys in the morning. Full service restaurant and bar offering amazing western comfort food made to order, and sourced locally. Menu service during the day with evening meals served family style. Amazing sunsets - with views of the sea and the city below - followed by our nightly campfire.

We have beds made with Pine from the jungle inside the main house, And now we are proud to unveil our newest *Relax* dorm with the thickest matresses and a giant hammcok off the front deck....further away from social areas so its a great place to catch up on your sleep and bird watch from your bed!

Friday BBQ's, fresh breads, local ingredients, amazing fruits on site and we are now cooking from the new earth oven. Cool breeze, chill vibe, hiking accessible, coffee and bird watching tours. We are always adding cool things and recently we put in the new tree house for an even higher lookout.

Our bar is fully stocked with every thing from water to Limoncello made by our Italian neighbour and craft beer from the local brewery.

Nice hostel, took the mototaxi up from Minca which takes about 30mins. Views are spectacular, hostel has chilled vibes, food is very nice and portions are big. Building work on a new hostel next door meant being woken up early with the sound of saws & drills - this should be finished within a month.

    Very Good

The hostel is amazing - high up in the mountains with an amazing view and the hammocks are a great touch. The food is also so delicious and a good price. Unfortunately the woman at reception is very rude and also very unhelpful when asking her for information about what to do in the area etc. She is extremely slow when checking in and checking out which is a shame. When we checked out, a different gentleman was on reception who spoke great English and was lovely so that was better.

The facilities were dirty and smelled of humidity. We were in rooms next to a construction site - there were no curtains, the lockers were broken and the water for the showers was virtually non existent. The staff were not very nice and not willing to help. However, the view was beautiful - it is good for a day but not for a stay and the food was delicious!

I think the hostel has become complacent due to its fame. The staff are rude, and our room was 5 minutes up the hill out of the main entrance in a building site with men hanging out there. Felt very unsafe as we were the only ones up there, and when the men hassled us as we were going to bed we went to the front desk and asked to be moved. The hostel in general is dirty. Only positives are location, food and views. Next time I would just get a visitor pass for 10k pesos. Don’t stay.

The location of this place is beautiful but disappointed with the facilities, everything was very unfinished and half of it felt like a building site, wouldn’t bother staying here over night I’d just go for the day
