Property Description

What a view from the worlds largest hammock, a place to sit back with a cold beverage or fresh fruit juice and chat among new friends.

Hang out with toucans during the day and wake up to the sound of howler monkeys in the morning. Full service restaurant and bar offering amazing western comfort food made to order, and sourced locally. Menu service during the day with evening meals served family style. Amazing sunsets - with views of the sea and the city below - followed by our nightly campfire.

We have beds made with Pine from the jungle inside the main house, And now we are proud to unveil our newest *Relax* dorm with the thickest matresses and a giant hammcok off the front deck....further away from social areas so its a great place to catch up on your sleep and bird watch from your bed!

Friday BBQ's, fresh breads, local ingredients, amazing fruits on site and we are now cooking from the new earth oven. Cool breeze, chill vibe, hiking accessible, coffee and bird watching tours. We are always adding cool things and recently we put in the new tree house for an even higher lookout.

Our bar is fully stocked with every thing from water to Limoncello made by our Italian neighbour and craft beer from the local brewery.

We do employ many locals who have grown up close by so do not expect fluent English from our receptionists, but do expect to be welcomed warmly and to practise your Spanish.

Such an amazing view. Woke up to the sunrise and it was so worth it. The hostel is definitely not a chill atmosphere though big you’re looking for something peaceful to be with nature and unwind, this is not the place it’s a huge party and all the staff are there to party too. Not complaint but just something to keep in mind! There will be music going late at night

Casa elemento is really beautiful and overall I would recommend staying there. When booking a private room, definitely opt for “jungle” over “hammock”. The hammock rooms are separated from the main area situated next to a small village. There are plenty of hammocks in the main area. You aren’t given a lock for the private room, we were told we didn’t need one because there is cameras :/ the positives: the views, the food and drink, hammocks and the pool!

After reading all the bad reviews I wasn't certain about going here, but glad I did anyway. The views were amazing and the food was great! It was a shame that it was a bit quiet during the evening, but the bar staff was great fun. Wasn't impressed by reception. Only information they gave me was a vague description of the location ofnmy room and they seemed very uninterested. However, the rest of my stay was good.

The view and hammocks are great and the bar is awesome. Facilities aren’t fantastic though - Id recommend Casa Loma and visiting Elemento as a day trip

Cabañas/Bungalos suck: The mosquito nets were covered with tape to fix the holes and I was given 2 clips to close off the mosquito net in the middle of the jungle. It’s very crazy. All you need to do in invest a couple hundred bucks in each cabana to make it at least bug proof. I walked it with dead spiders around and the staff wasn’t very helpful in making the location any better. I had come here before but wontbe back. It’s worth it for the view but you won’t rest well.

The hostel is in a beautiful location however the inside was dirty, staff were not particularly friendly and the food was average. If you’re interested in going for the hammocks, I would personally stay elsewhere and just go for a day trip.

This place was terrible. Horrible customer service. Staff is SO unhelpful. The front desk seems to be annoyed to be answering questions and the bartenders ignore you. The rooms and bathrooms are disgusting. Bugs are everywhere and you wake up with 1000 mosquito bites. The walls are paper thin so literally you can hear people going to the bathroom. They have tiny lockers in the rooms that barely fit all your stuff so we had to keep half our stuff with us and there is no way to lock the rooms.

This place is a frat house. The view is nice, but it's loud, dirty, very, very far away, and cockroach infested. We left after one night - there's plenty of other great places to stay - with views and big hammocks - in Minca.
