My favourite hostel in Colombia. Super chill atmosphere with multiple yoga sessions a day, live music on weekends and tasty vegetarian food. The walk up to the hostel is 20mins super up hill and would be v hard with a suitcase. The dorms r also half inside and half outside and quite basic, although I loved the natural experience.

Wish I could have stayed longer. This hostel is fantastic, run by great professionals. The gentlemen behind the bar and reception went over and beyond to help in a tricky situation - thank you. As a hostel owner, i can highly commend the operational side, for such a large place, and one that offers several services - everything was seamless. The food was especially a highlight, along with the views, entertainment, and location.

Great hostel where you could rent kayaks which we loved! The guy at reception was so helpful & the breakfast and dinners were very good! Not that social/ a party hostel though.

Beautiful hostel, thought I booked a dorm but got a hammock, so watch out. Lots of people have been sick from Minca so avoid any salad and avoid the filtered water. Have been crapping for 7 days. Hostel is pretty magical tho and the breakfast slaps. Nice staff too

An excellent place to stay in Minca. We chose the hammocks which certainly is an interesting way to sleep through the night! Excellent views, attentive and friendly staff, wonderful vegetarian food, and a very nice atmosphere with fellow travellers. Kitchen is small and not ideal for personal cooking. The hill up and down is fine without a large backpack and when it's not raining (the path can become slippy). Not that it matters, but WiFi could be improved.

This hostel is set in the jungle with a nice view. The staff are really friendly. There wasn't much atmosphere though, but could have been the time of year. My dorm room was above the common room with no walls so I had the worst night sleep I've had since setting off 6 months ago. The kitchen needs more equipment for cooking and the showers were pretty awful. It's good for the price though :)

Mica is beautiful, as is the view from this hostel. The current owner Stefan is wonderful and has some great plans for reviving and improving the hostel that i think are quite necessary to make this hostel a more comfortable place to sleep and wake up! As minca is quite bad for mosquitoes who seem to be resistant to the deet sprays I’d definitely suggest replacing all the holed mosquito nets around the beds is a priority, as well as perhaps investing in some anti mosquito devices for around the hostel. That said, minca is cool enough in the evenings to wear long clothing as one mode of protection. I stayed in the 4 person hut, however i don’t think this space is suitable for 4 adults as the up top beds were on the floor up a very tall ladder, uncomfortable and had a lot of bugs crawling in the beds compared to the large king sized bed down top and unfortunately i had to stay in another hostel for 2 nights because that sleeping arrangement wasn’t ideal for me. If you come as a 4 and want private comfortable space then I’d book 2 private doubles, that is what I’d do next time! The food was lovely and well priced, definitely the best value and quality in minca. However the wait times could be quite long in the evenings so order early not when you’re very hungry! I would love to come back to Casa Loma in a year or a couple years to see all the changes Stefan is making come to fruition; i think this hostel will one day be heaven on earth!

Great massage by Melissa. Room was nice for an outdoor setting but pillows smelled terribly. Room and everything in the room had a damp feeling but understandable because of the setting and torrential rains during our stay. Food was very tasty and good drinks too.
