My girlfriend and I stayed at casa loma for one night but could easily have stayed for a week. Yes, it’s a 10 minute hike uphill to get there and yes, it’s somewhat back to basic, but what you get in return is a unique and amazing experience of staying in nature with the best views you can imagine. We had the most expensive private room which was still only EUR 40 or so but totally worth it. I will definitely come back to casa loma when I’m in Colombia and will stay for longer then!

Casa Loma is such a beautiful hostel! Keep in mind, this is a trek to get to but is totally worth it at the top. So much so, that my stay from 1 day quickly changed into 5, because of how much I loved this hostel, the location, the staff, and Minca itsself. I highly recommend everyone to stay here. The dorms were nice too, and they had fantastic mosquito nets, which were so useful because the mosquitos in Minca are notorious. Casa Loma is amazing, you must stay here!!!

Unique hostel in the eco style. The rooms have an open plan that definitely makes you feel connected to nature. I’m not a vegetarian but the kitchen was delicious, the cocktails also, all for a reasonable price. Cool social events that make a nice mix between chilling and meeting people. Knowledgeable staff that are friendly and helpful. Amazing views. Got a good cardio work out walking up and down the stairs haha.

We stayed in our own cabana and loved it. My wife was not a fan of the cold shower and the proximity of the bathroom and shower to the lobby area. Beautiful views and atmosphere. Food was so good too. Has different types of accommodations so other experiences may differ.

Beautiful place where you can rest while enjoying beautiful views from Minca over the Sierra Nevada all the way to Santa Marta. A peaceful and magical place. Beware that you need to climb quite some stairs to get to the hostal, so if you have mobility difficulties or do not want to be climbing up and down a good bunch of stairs up a hill twice a day (at least) then this is not the spot for you. However, with the effort come the views and atmosphere. In Cerro Kennedy we recommend Hostal El Ramo!

Great location and staff. A bit of a hike uphill but worth it for the views, just try and minimize your amount of trips down to town in all honestly. Stayed in both a private and shared dorm as I extended my stay. Honestly nowhere else to stay in minca tbh, it's in the center of it all but also isolated, met Great people and had plenty of fun. Ask for the guide book or advice on where to go, they have great recommendations!

Awesome place to chill and explore Minca from. The walk is a killer like others have said but the lovely staff always have a glass of water waiting for you at the top. I stayed in a private hut which was amazing, bed was comfy and feels like an adventure by itself. Food from the restaurant could be better, but wasn’t awful. The whole place is rough around the edges but that’s its charm, if the facilities were too modern I think it would lose its feel. Totally recommend if coming to Minca.

Loved staying here! Beautiful views, hike up with my large backpack to the hostel wasn't the best, but nonetheless seems like one of the best places to stay in Minca. Also loved the food they had at the connected restaurant.

Our stay at Casa Loma Minca was a restful one. Please beware of the steep uphill hike required to get to the hostel. Once you get to the reception, you'll be rewarded with a great view of the lush landscape. Don't forget to bring insect repellent spray or cream.
