We absolutely loved our stay at casa Loma. The setting is beautiful, our private room looked out solely over jungle, the sunsets were stunning and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We went on a bird watching tour with a local guide called Cristian Manrique which the hostel helped us to arrange and was absolutely excellent. We also went to the small but incredibly interesting history museum in town which is a must if you want to know more about the fascinating history of Minca.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Loma. Everything was great. The views are amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food choices are great and the cheesecake we had for dessert was one of the best we’ve ever had. The steps aren’t too bad without the bags and it’s totally worth the walk up!

What an amazing place! One of the best hostels I've ever been to. Incredibly view once you've sweated your way to the top but it is worth it. Communal spaces and outside areas are gorgeous and we had a private hut thing which is basically a COMFY double bed with a mosquito net under a roof... basically clamping with an INCREDIBLY view. Lovely family meals. Lovely staff. Thank you!

It’s a real joke to get up there, but once you’re there it’s heaven. Great staff, great view, great vibe.

    Fabulous

Casa Loma Minca is a really cool eco-hostel, arguably the best place to stay in Minca however be aware there is no fan in the private huts and there is no air-con to cool down after the EPIC hike up the 'hill' (mountain). To pay with cash is a 10% surcharge so bring lots of cash. The staff are very helpful with amazing english and the bar is awesome for sunset! There is no wifi so get a sim card before going to Minca and you will have reception still. It is a nice place that I would go to again.

Amazing views and food was incredible. Good value for money although if you don’t like bugs I wouldn’t recommend staying in the eco huts!

The place is amazing, the view is great while still being very close to the town, which is nice to grab diner (which is different from places like Casa Elemento who are a 3 hour walk away from the village). Know when you are booking that you are staying in the forest/jungle, so it’s a bit back to basic. That said, They try to make every single thing as comfortable as possible! ☺️👌🏻

    Very Good

As all the reviews say the vibe is very pleasant especially if you’re looking to meet people it’s a great place. The staff was incredible, very friendly. Food was delicious but heavily overpriced considering they do not offer a kitchen and it’s a walk back to town. Our biggest complaint though was the facilities were quite poor for what you pay- no fans in any of the rooms (dorm or cabaña) and it’s hot as balls at night making it hard to sleep. Our cabin was on a major slant as well. Overpriced
