Great location. Steps away from everything, including the best street food!

Casa Lupita was a great place for me to stay for my 2 short days in GTO, however if you're looking for a social atmosphere this is not the place. It is definitely more of a guesthouse than a hostel, when I arrived there was one other person in my dorm and the second night I was alone. So, would recommend if you're looking for a cheap and quiet place to stay that is really well located.

The hostel is very safe, clean, perfectly located and has great staff. There really isn't anything going on there, so it's perfect if you want a quiet, empty space. Breakfast is not included. The kitchen had eggs and some old, inedible fruit and a request for tips if you eat anything. The internet is very off and on, so don't rely on it for work. The beds are not great either, but the showers are hot, fresh towels and a clean room every day, double blankets, good lockers, all the basics are met.

The facility is not value for the money if you go out of peak season, it has a lack of bathrooms, no living room, a couple of tables with 4 chairs only, no terrace, the place could use some handwork.

Great location. The staff are barely around, so you can’t get much help, but they were friendly enough when checking in. The place is clean, but the bathroom in the dorm is soo tiny and uncomfortable - but always clean. I ended up using the bathroom out the back near the kitchen - again always clean. For a two night stay, it’s totally fine. Not really a place to meet people, but for a short stay I didn’t mind. Nice place, and the location makes it easy to enjoy the city.

Unpleasant stay at Casa Lupita Hostel. Rude staff. I was forced to change rooms because a new group of travelers had just booked a reservation for a private room. I don't mind swapping rooms but I wasn't asked if I mind it I was FORCED, I was even told if I didn't do it in that moment, they were going to move all my stuff. Proper management would have locked the beds on the booking sites instead of letting them book occupied beds. Second bed I was assigned had bugs, left heavily bitten.
