I had a wonderful stay at this quaint Hostel in the Zona Colonial. The location was easy to get to, community was friendly, and breakfast was served at the roof terrace with lots of coffee!! The staff was very accommodating, helpful, & friendly (and did a great job with this expat NYer)! Please note that this is a section that dates to colonial Spanish times, so the addresses are mingled old with new; try viewing a picture of the exterior building online prior to going; please do go & enjoy!

There is nothing “boutique”” about Osiris Hostel. Well located and clean. We were shown down the street to a plain Jane annex. No bar in terrace. Cold eggs and not-fresh bread for breakfast but the coffee was good.

This place couldn’t find my HostelWorld reservation when I arrived. I suspect that they simply overbooked by advertising my room on Expedia/ as well. Instead I paid almost as much for a bed half as big with dirty sheets in a small room and no private bathroom. I’d recommend you stay elsewhere.

I booked a bed in a 6 bed female dorm. Then the following day the price listed was half of what I booked for so I emailed them. Nobody responded. Tried to explain when I got there. Nobody cared. I ended up in a closet sized room with a bunk bed with another female. The bunk bed needed a utlility ladder to get on top. Unusually high with NO guard railing to protect you from falling to your death during your sleep. THEN I got double charged on my credit card. Took a week to resolve.

We stayed on the first floor in a two-bed room. The man at reception showed us three rooms from which we could choose. All of them were old, shabby, sticky, stinky and mouldy. Not at all like the pictures shown here. The shared bathroom was not clean and didn't have a lock. Although the website said there was breakfast, it wasn't offered to us. Furthermore you have to pay for leaving your luggage there. Really a not well kept house, better avoid it.

Instead of the double bed we had reserved, we were given a bunk bed in a tiny tiny room with lots of cockroaches (both dead ones and living ones). To judge by the big amounts of dust, the room hadn't been cleaned for several weeks. Moreover, the door of the shared toilet is not possible to lock, so anyone can enter while you are showering. Try to book any other hostel than this one.
