Wow! What a fabulous hostel. I’ve stayed in dozens of hostels and this is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. Amazing communal spaces on both the second floor and roof. Great food and bar (though food/drink is more expensive here than in most other places in CDMX). The staff were SO friendly and responsive to questions/needs. Met great people here. The location is super central to the old city and a short walk to the metro. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. No AC, FYI.

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The location is ideal and the roof/bar has a great atmosphere. The privacy curtains are a game changer. Plus you have an individual light, shelf and two outlets to yourself! The rooms were cleaned daily. My only complaint is the activities: you're better off on your own. They overcharged and were very disorganized.

This was a great hostel! Super nice all around and tons of big common spaces. The rooftop was great. There are great views and the food and drinks at the restaurant were really good. The rooms and bathrooms were really nice and had cute balconies over the street. I would recommend this hostel to anyone.

A great place! Lots of privacy and security. Big lockers for bags. Excellent wifi. Fun events on the rooftop. Kind staff. Mattresses are hard. No AC (which I don't mind), but it meant mosquitos were an issue. A shelf in the shower would be nice (versus your things on the floor). Walking tour was fine, but incredibly slow paced (I left after 3.5 hours). Skip the Teohuacitan tour and take the local bus. You get more info from the posted info boards than from the guide. Overall, really fantastic!

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable to sleep. I was disappointed to find out the rooms did not have air conditioner. So, to get some relief from the heat, the windows were left opened but that let in the mosquitoes and sleeping was almost impossible by to constant biting. The staff were very nice and helpful, the activities offered were fun, and the terrace on the top floor had a nice environment to relax and have a drink. Breakfast offered in the mornings was OK but limited.

Casa Pepe is brand new, VERY clean, secure & centrally located. That being said, it's probably the most expensive hostel in the country with prices at $20-25USD per night for a dorm bed -- twice the going rate. Beers are cheap at the bar (around US$2.50), but shots & cocktails are $4-8USD apiece & food is similarly pricey. The hostel & bar staff are all super friendly though. Miguel's free walking tour was a lot of fun. Elizabeta also very friendly & full of info. I would stay here again.

It’s well located and it is one if the most beautiful hostels I’ve ever stayed in but you can hear people talking in the hallways and stairs late at night.

Fantastic hostel with locker and extra storage box in the actual bunks. Amazing rooftop too! Zocalo was not my thing, extremely busy on weekends and not a lot of restaurants around. Overall great hostel but not the best location

Don't stay here in warm months. This place is a heat and mosquito trap, and I got no sleep. Mosquitos will buzz around your face and ears all night. There is no air conditioner and no fan. They give you a thick comforter and no sheet. Everyone complained about it. I'm depressed about not being able to enjoy my time in Mexico City after being awake all night in this hostel. One woman who had been there before and said each room in the hostel is different - so I guess it's up to chance.
