Beautiful location for a hostel. The showers have hot water! There is a kitchen if you do not want to cook. The main market is 5 min walk from the hostel. The train station is 15 min walk. The home-made breakfast included in the stay was delicious. I loved how the pet dog, cat and her kittens just played around in the grass while I ate my scrambled eggs with the backdrop of the fog slowly rising over the mountains.

This place was so peaceful and relaxing the moment you walked in. The grandmother greeted us until the son arrived. They both spoke English well! Our 4-bed room was spacious, and a bonus was that 2 of the cats came to sleep in bed with me! The breakfast was very well prepared, and they even had coca leaves to make tea if you wanted. I would highly recommend this place if you want some peace and quiet. Oh, the electric showers were nice and hot if you listen to their advice about 'less is more.'

The staff was extremely helpful. The location is very central and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I highly recommend this place even for campers as it has space to put up your camp. It is also a few minute away from the Inca Rail and the main square.

+ The location is perfect: it’s only a 3 minutes walk to the main plaza where all the restaurants and shops are. The ruins are 5-10 minutes walking distance. Even the city is busy, the camping area is very quiet. + The mattresses in the triple room very new and the room was very comfy. Breakfast was good: bread, butter/jam, fried egg, orange juice and tea or coffee. + kitchen + the owner and his wife are lovely people - wifi if very slow in the common area. not working in the room

Very nice place hold by a nice family. Anita makes her own products such as peanut butter and energetic bars, which is great! And Laura welcomed us and was super nice ! Breakfast is good, dorms are comfy. The kitchen is basic but at least you can cook, though the dishes was a bit dirty when we got there. Close to the village center, and very quiet place!

    Very Good

Stayed here for one night and was glad it was only one! I shared a triple with two friends, and the door to our hut did not lock from the inside, and there is no security at the entrance. Otherwise the location was convenient for the PeruRail and the town, and it was very inexpensive. The staff was very accommodating with leaving our bags there after checkout while we did Machu Picchu. They do have a dog and cats roaming the property so if that bothers you this may not be the best place.

This hostel is one step above camping. Wifi was terrible, bathrooms were basic and the ‘common area’ has a dirt floor. However, the location is nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. You truely get what you pay for, and it was a great place to stay for 1 night.

This hostel was not worth the price we paid. There was no WiFi in the rooms; we were informed upon arrival that the WiFi only worked in the main office. And when we were shown where our room was, we couldn’t see because it was dark and there were no lights to lighten the pathway. We were trying to find out way through dark corners. There was spider webs covering the ceiling. The covers had stains on them. The pillows were awful. And it’s kind of out of the way from the town square.
