Such a nice stay at Casa Samay! Beautiful location looking over the valley and canyon walls. Carlos and his mom are so wonderful and kind and are always there to help with whatever you need and answer any questions you might have. Courtyard full of flowers and a cute dog!

Loved it, would definitely recommend. Its a little walk up from the centre, but the 360 views you get of the whole valley is really worth it. Breakfast on the roof terrace was really nice. The family are really welcoming and helpful - and gave me good tips for a nice hike in the morning along an inca trail, before heading back to Cusco. Stay there!

I went to Ollantay twice and the major reason why I returned was because of how helpful and knowledgeable the hostel host, Carlos, was for me. If you're looking for a quiet place to spend the night or to spend a few days, this hostel was perfect! The bed was masterfully made. The gardens downstairs were lovely. Plenty of hot water. Clean rooms and facilities. 5 minutes walk along the river to get to the town center, train station, ruins and the market. Breakfast was very good. Safe. Highly Rec!

Great place. Carlos is very nice and is very hospitable. He was very kind to get me a mototaxi to take me to the train station at 4 A.M. for S/.5. He's also passionate about photography and several other things, you won't have a dull moment while you unwind for the day!

Great little spot slightly outside of town. Nice and quiet with amazing views if that’s what you’re looking for. Wi-fi, hot showers, clean, and comfortable beds. Carlos even walked me around town and educated me on the history of the city. Great times! -Michael

Wonderfully peaceful hostel with a beautiful patio and view. A short walk out of the town center, but with a very lovely and tranquil vibe. Would recommend to anyone spending time in Ollantaytambo. They also were amazing at helping me find hikes and food.

    Fabulous

This hostel is about a 6 minute walk from town(really quick since it's a small town), really quiet up in the valley. Carlos and his mom are beyond sweet. Very accommodating. They upgraded my friend and I to a private room. We stayed only 1 night passing thru. Good rate, very clean. No storage lockers but stuff felt safe locked into the room. WiFi worked really well! Didn't order breakfast but the menu looked decent. I would stay here again for sure.

    Very Good

The owners of this hostel are SO nice! But please note that this hostel is off the beaten path and in the 'countryside' of Peru. We had to kill the biggest spider I've ever seen in my life in the hallway as well as some smaller ones in the bedrooms. We also had to deal with thousands are small gnats swarming our bedroom lights at nighttime while we were trying to pack (we did not have any windows open but they were still getting in somehow.)

Stayed here in a private room for 1 night.Staff was friendly and helped organizing my day trip to Machu Picchu. The private rooms need a trash,a mirror, lamp maybe. There were only a bed and two chairs in the room, felt cold. 10 min walk from the city center, you can see the stars, the moon and the mountains clearly around the hostel. It wasn't the peak season and I saw only 2 other guests. Wifi connection was bad in the room. Shower looked nice. All and all,I think there are better places to stay

For some reason, the host guy was not the kindest one. I felt like I was some sort of intruder asking for invasive favors, every time I asked for simple things or informations. Also the place is not the cleanest. Although not the worst I’ve been. Another thing, the pictures do not properly transmit the real atmosphere of the place. The guy urgently needs a few classes on hospitality and I’m very sorry for not being able to recommend it.
